THE TALKING DRUM
The talking drum is an instrument in the shape of an hourglass in Western Africa, It produce sounds like human
voice. It is attached to two drumheads by leather tension rope, so that the player can change the drum pitch by pressing the cords between his arm and his chest.
The drum's pitch is varied to mimic the voice sound patterns. The tension of the drumhead varies: the opposite heads of the drum are bound by a specific tension chain. The tail of the drum lies between the handle and the ribs of the player so that, when the drumhead is pressed, the sound is greater than when it is relaxed;
