The Muegang tradition is one of the habits of the people of Aceh when welcoming the month of Ramadan, and also Eid. Muegang is a series of activities to buy, process and eat beef.

This tradition is carried out two days before the month of Ramadan or at the end of the Syaban month. Meugang tradition is also often carried out on the eve of Eid and Eid al-Adha. But the most special thing is the tradition of meugang when welcoming the fasting month. The community will leave the house and look for meat to be processed and eaten with the family.
