ULOG: My Bullied Experience1

Hi everyone, like I said in my previous blog growing up as a shy introverted little girl wasn't easy. During my kindergarten days, I had this fear of writing in class but at home, I was good at writing the A, B,1,2,3 and so on. My teacher do call for my elder sister anytime I find it difficult to write and when my elder sister is around me I just find this inner courage to write. My sister eventually graduated from primary school and at the same time, I graduated from kindergarten into the primary school so it was me and my immediate elder brother that was going to school together. My brother was my best friend we played all kind of games/play together (both the ones that are seen as both feminine and masculine). He is my PIC by PIC I mean partner in crime. And hell no not what you are thinking we didn't do any horrible or bad things.

I was just 6 and my brother 9, we had these bullies always threatening us (my brother especially) but we just couldn't stand up to them and defend ourselves for we were this quiet and cool kid. I know some people see us as a weakling, some adults and yeah the Kids I guess that's why they bullied us. Our school was at the beginning of our street, my parents choose that school because we don't have to cross roads and it was easy for us to get home by ourselves without anyone picking us up. The bullies were one big kid Ashen, Felix and two Siblings Imutu(a classmate of my brother) and Sarah (my classmate). We were walking home that day after school Ashen and Felix don't stay in the same street as ours but they were on a mission and their mission was to beat my brother. They have been saying awful words to us in school and you may ask what our offense was? But our fucking offense was that we were quiet and good kids so we are to be taken advantage of because of our nature, I'm sorry for the F word.

We got to our house, my parents were not home and have already gone there workplaces, my elder siblings were at their secondary schools. So I opened the gate and the three boys Felix, Imutu, and Ashen mounted on my brother it was outside our compound gate. The neighborhood was quiet but there were people opposite our compound who was outside and they watch everything happened grown up adults (weren't friendly neighbors). I was standing there I couldn't help my brother as they beat him Sarah block the gate with her body preventing me from entering inside and she gave me a slap on my cheek before they left. After they left me and my brother entered inside the compound and I said like I saw this stick on the ground I could have used it to hit them but deep down I know I couldn't have done that. I was that a weakling, just said that to comfort my brother.

When my mum and our elder sister came back from work and school respectively we explained to her what happened. My mum addresses Sarah and Imutu's parents, they sold their kids. My mum also reported to the school authorities which punished every kid involved in the bully but that didn't stopped the bullying. Like I said earlier there were grown up adults that watched my brother got beaten without doing anything, they were grown children of a man in our neighborhood. Their father came by to apologize to my mum for his children attitude.

I forgot to mention I have five siblings, a boy, two girls, a boy(my quiet brother) and then me(a girl). The first and third born are two extroverts, the second born an ambivert. And the last two at the back, I and my brother introverts. The first two of my siblings attended boarding school in their junior year of secondary and when they came on holidays my eldest brother (the firstborn) had a talk with my brother, he pretty knows how he handled himself alone being in a boarding school and the talk gave my brother the ability to face his bullies. I will have to drop my pen now but please anticipate for chapter 2 on how my brother defeated his bullies.
