Twitter activity

One of my new years resolutions was to try a bit more with Twitter, mainly of course to raise awareness of Steem, so far so good but I can't say I have been trying a lot so will try to improve on that. I am glad to see the #posh initiative make such a huge splash on the twitter movement and I am hoping it will continue to do well, of course I also have to thank all other Steemians who have been sharing, interacting, following other Steemians, etc, even before the #posh initiative. Special thanks also to @theycallmedan for starting most of the movements and raising so many initiatives and contests that helped it.

Here's my monthly analytics so far:

As you can see my tweets have gone up quite a bit and I plan on increasing that amount by sharing more quality posts I find here onto there. I'll also be attempting to follow more Steemians. @enjar let me know of a Steemian subscriber list on Twitter created by @traciyork which you can find here if you want to follow other Steemians easier! Very useful for getting your twitter up to date and your wall relevant of tweets if you spend most of your time here anyway. I've been trying to login to twitter twice per day and just throwing likes around on tweets I see from other Steemians, good thing is they don't cost you any voting power there, but the rewards are nonexistent as well. :p I've even logged onto twitter on my phone now just to do that one a more regular basis when I'm not at the PC as when I'm there I'm usually busy with Steem stuff.

So I hope you'll all join me with these activities too. I also noticed some Twitter accounts are the definition of follow4follow and their twitter engagement shows that that's mainly what they've been doing on there as the engagement is worse than my tweets even though they have 100x the followers I do. Kinda funny but that's the way it is now when people focus on the amount rather than the engagement or influence of that user. That's one thing I'm not going to be doing there and will mainly follow Steemians that I follow here as well or see that they make an effort to share their Steem content on there. On top of that I'll also be doing some curation through Twitter, where I find Steem posts shared there either by the original author or another Steemian and follow the link back to Steemit/peak and curate it.

I think this anayltic screenshot shows my "new years resolution" success rate the best:

Let's see if we can improve that until next month when I'll make a new post about it. :)

Anyway, remember to post your original content posts onto our hive community and link your tweet in the comments for higher curation. No need with the 10% @sbdpotato beneficiary now anymore as it is getting funded by @steem.dao now. Our community is doing rather well considering it just started out, we're glad to see so many familar names there and past and present supporters!

#2 in communities by a long shot, although I think getting to #1 will be difficult, but it's not a competition, just happy to see the interest in communities and can't wait to see them live on the main site and all other new features that will come alive with it!

Love how Twitter tries to make it sound like you actually earn something. You work, engage, write for your audience, oh well... We Steemians know a lot better. These traditional social media platforms will vanish eventually, but its good to still use it while there are lots of people to be found.

Quick q; Is it possible to pin multiple posts on the community board?

You can keep your anonymity with Twitter. I used to use my real name on there but changed it to my STEEM name when I started cross-posting.

Fuck knows what my 'real friends' thought of that, fortunately there's only a handful.

The follow4follow issue Twitter has is an understatement. It got so bad Twitter had to limit how many people you can follow per day and if you exceed a certain following to follower’s ratio you won’t be permitted to follow anyone else till you get enough people following back. There are some 100k/100k accounts out there lol.

It is nice to see more influential Steemian starting to show up there and be active. With name recognition, some of you bigger folks should have a much easier time building and really getting support behind your posts to push them out beyond our bubble. This in return gets more attention for them and our platform.

I also find since there no rewards to worry about over there I’m a little more active in making Tweets. There no expectation and when something is not enough to make a post about it I’ll just make a Tweet instead. Even more so since I can just pin whatever I feel is important at that time for anyone who lands on my Twitter page to see.

Yeah that account in the screenshot with most followers that follows me was a follow4follow account with barely any engagement, lol.

I had in the past never been hugely into Twitter. However now I can see the purpose for spreading the word. There is an impressive amount of active Steemers on there and I have no doubt that if we continue and grow, surely we will be noticed even more! I think I will even Tweet some non Steem stuff so the algorithm doesnt see me as just spamming my links :D

Thanks for the follow on Twitter. At the moment promoting steem on Twitter will have to be secondary for me as my twitter account is primarily there for another cause that is much more important to me. But of course, still appreciate your support for my steemit activities there

Been sharing heaps of #naturalmedicine posts on our @lotus_medicine account... feels good and think our Twitter looks smooth and great even if I do say so myself. Won't post in your hive as have to post from Front end, but really happy with what we have been doing to market our end.

Im taking my @ecotrain steem curation out into the twittersphere, & continuing with my half-a-year nearly commitment to bring @naturalmedine #steem content out into facebookland.

Also following your lead to upvote & support posts I found on twitter. This post is one of them. 😊

I think that every few weeks or once a month I will have a rundown post about twitter analytics as it gives a bit of a different insight. Would love if Steem had similar metrics as easily available (we have more options to add too of course) one day.

Pretty cool to see those top communities :)

I was #POSH posting in the beginning but I’ve stopped for whatever reason. Time to get back on that train.

I'm not a big Twitter user, but it's a good time to start.

It's really a great move and the most important thing is the dynamic that "theycallmedan" has managed to summon. People are really motivated.

No authors interested in continuing it, prizes will still be distributed at the end of the season of whatever was collected.

Liking without much ReTweeting is actually detrimental to your twitter stats. Liking without jumping to the link is even worse. ReTweting with a comment is one of the best ways to improve stats.

I used to be a twitter coach years ago before STEEM and would see people's stats really improve by taking these three actions above.

Thank for the link to Tracy's list. Here is my list of about 650 steemers. Most are not active, but it is still helpful:

I also have this list of crypto influencers that I try to grow daily. Interacting with people outside of steem will help a lot to grow our presence there.

Thanks for sharing and I had no idea there was a twitter list for Steemians!
