What are the odds for a new-born to live for more than 90 years?
Now, what are the odds for an 88-year-old to live 5 more years?
Ok, what are the odds for a 93-year-old to live a few more months?
What if that 93-year-old had a heart attack? What are the odds for him to survive it?

Last weekend there was news about our zombie of a president being seriously ill, and then that his situation is ... did I say serious? Well then critic. Then some French and Algerian TV channels and I don't know where "Al-Arabia" is exactly from amongst the Arab countries... Anyway, those "respectable" TV channels announced that Beji Caid Essebsi has passed away, while the presidency office was denying the news. The timing of his death would have been very bad since the Tunisian Constitution says that the Constitutional court should, in case of the death of the president give his position to the president of the Parliament, of course, if we had a constitutional court! Since we don't have that yet, there is a chance, even a slight one, for chaos.

I did say it's a slight chance but actually, it's almost impossible. The highest authority in the country is the parliament, and our parliament, if not entirely good and honest, is brave and just! I'm sure they'll do what's right. Plus our army proved its patriotism and honesty during the revolution. So I'm not really afraid of chaos, but it sucks for the only real democracy in MENA (the Middle East and North Africa) to have a president-for-life! Even if this little fella only became a president five years ago, it would be shameful for us if he dies in the castle.

Anyway, even those who didn't vote for our president, and probably think voting for him was as terrible a mistake as voting for Trump in the US, were hoping he'd survive this and live for a few more months at least until the next presidential elections later this year.

A few days later:

I don't have a source for this photo but I assure you it's public property of the Tunisian Nation. It's the ultimate proof that "the oldest president in the world" and "the second oldest head of state" is not only alive, but he might even enter the next elections. I mean he wasn't much younger when he first decided he wants to become a president in 2014!

But I hope that Tunisians have "discovered" that he was too old for this. (Read this poem I wrote about him, last year, called "Zombies" )

Football

Ever heard of a team that plays three matches, doesn't win a single one of them, and qualifies anyway?

Now you have!

Tunisia has just qualified to the next round in the African Football Cup after having three Draws. I won't make any further comments on this matter because I didn't even know this was possible until last weekend!

It sucks that we HAVE TO win our next match against Ghana to qualify to the quarter-finals. Or can't we qualify by penalties? lol

Economy

After being in a constant, stable, perfectly perseverant... drop! the TND (Tunisian Dinar) has risen, just like that for no reason. (maybe tourism? because things don't just happen, as far as I know)

Have you guys suddenly decided to buy Tunisian products? We have the best quality date palm fruits and olive oil in the world. But did the world suddenly discover this?

Terrorism:

Ever heard of a terrorist who blows himself up and kills nobody and wounds nobody?

Now you have!

The FBI, the CIA, MI6, and all the tough guys in the world have a lot to learn from the Tunisian Police.
The terrorist I'm referring to was the last of a band of six Terrorists that have lately tried to "do something" and could only kill one person, Mehdi Zammali, who was a brave policeman, God bless his soul.
