Justin Sun Posts YouTube Video Espousing The Opposite Of What He Said On The AMA

Many were encouraged by Justin Sun backing off the idea of a token swap, for now.

If the most recent video is correct, "For Now" equates to about 48 hours. The most recent video on Sun's Youtube account specifically states that the Old Steem Tokens would be swapped for a New Tron Steem Token.

The question again is "what is going on"?

It is possible that Sun does not run his YouTube account and someone else put the video together and posted it based upon what was said before the AMA (and the uproar).

Or perhaps Sun was full of it when he stated no token swap on the AMA. Emotions are running high and if he tries to push this, I have a feeling the blowback from the community will be fierce.

Sun has the reputation of being a scammer and liar. This could be a reason why. I will not say that he is either of those things since I do not really know. What is obvious is that he likes to fly off the cuff and appears to make it up as he goes along. Often, those people can be highly successful yet they do acquire that reputation. Haphazard or conflicting communication can really set people aback.

Here is the video...draw your own conclusions.

Perhaps a "Proprietary Blockchain" was something that Steemit Inc was running in terms of an inhouse testnet.

Everyone, including Sun, knows the Steem blockchain is not proprietary.

Is this all a play on words?

Strange. I also wonder like you whether this was already prepared before the AMA and released as-is. The coming days and weeks will be interesting to say the least.

Confusing, to be sure.

That said, I spent many years in marketing, and that clip looked like a "pre-boxed" set clip designed for broad release to news media... I'm guessing it was made long before February 14th.

That said, the choice to still RUN it is a little disturbing/confusing... but it may be a little early to do much other than just wait for confirmation.

I can't begin to imagine the massive sell-offs one would witness in a share price if a NYSE listed company had this kind of terrible PR. It's kind of disappointing the crypto market isn't similar in that aspect; I'm sure that would gain their attention and make them, well, get to doing some decent PR.

Well, the thing with the deleted tweet etc. makes it seem like the underpaid intern was posting...

Remember when Peter McCormack got Justin Sun to call Tron a shitcoin? It was last week. "Buy my shitcoin." - Justin Sun 2020
