As long as they have the majority of the witnessess (17/30) they can implement whatever code they want, so they owned the blockchain for a brief time.

They just didnt accounted for the possibility of the main Steemic Inc. developers resigning, therefore he couldnt implement the hard fork quickly enough.

So yeah, he can still control the blockchain.

This is actually insane request. Then so many people here should appologize for tons of insults directed towards Justin from the day 0.

If one side treats the other side as a criminal, everything starts with a wrong foot.

If any witnessess made any public offense toward Justin Sun, they should put on the same place, and retract the offense and possible an apology.

Without this, both sides could see each other as "criminal", wich isnt a good start for a productive negotiation.

Wow. Absolutely terrible idea. I cannot imagine that person who is in charge od development team and largest stakeholder cannot have anything to say. So after all do we want decentralization or do we want to be back to centralized one small group of users-working-together having monopoly?

That's the point of the negotiation. The witness/community want governance back, and with justin sun witness this isn't possible.

For Justin Sun to accept, the witness must offer something in return. Since this is the most important point of the negotiation, they should match with Sun most important demand, wich is, the possibility of him exiting his position as a investor (he already said that on the first meeting)

I've been voting on old witnesses, so I kind of picked the side. However I absolutely don't think it's a starting point. Why would we require roadmap from Justin, at the same time saying that we want him not to have any vote on future development - so we want all decions to be made by witnesses, and yet we do not expect roadmap from them? Ehm. So confusing.

What i said is that is a starting point of the negotiations (and for the witnesses to stop jerking themselves off and going around themselves and start making a concrete list of demands/concessions).

Witnesses present what they want, Sun present what he wants. both sides take time to consider the options, and then rejoin on another meeting to continue the negotiation to try to reach an agreement.

One meeting won't solve this problem, specially because both sides don't clearly know what the other side wants, and are just assuming things.

Today, during the town hall, a Tron representative joined the discussions and scheduled a meeting later today.

What the witnessess did? Kept the talking revolving around what just did was bad, and justin is a bad man, and so on, instead of be pratical and worked with the community on a demands/concessions lists.

In the end, it was all a waste of time, useless and improductive town hall.

Now witnessess will go to the meeting withouth any idea what exactly they need/want from Justin, nor what ground can be given to Justin to start sweetening a deal.

Yes, this would go on top of the list because it was a public shaming that was a total lie and personally offensive (for the witness and a bit for the communitty because their vote put them as witness), calling them criminals.

Retracting this statement would show good faith from Justin Sun side, and willingness to stay on equal moral level (in theory at least).

Otherwise, Justin Sun could put himself in a place that he would treat the witnessess as criminals and not as possible future partners, and the witnessess could put themselves as in an aggressive stance because of the offense.

And that is would be a bad start for any negotiation.
