오늘은 우주 여행의 마지막 편입니다.
이렇게 3편까지 올 생각은 아니었는데, 마침 두달전 NASA 에서 우주 여행을 개인에게도 판매할 거라는 계획을 공식적으로 발표했더군요.
그래서 우주 여행 비용을 알려드리고 마칠까 합니다.

Private Astronaut Missions

NASA also is enabling private astronaut missions of up to 30 days on the International Space Station to perform duties that fall into the approved commercial and marketing activities outlined in the directive released Friday, with the first mission as early as 2020. A new NASA Research Announcement focus area issued today outlines the path for those future private astronaut missions.

If supported by the market, the agency can accommodate up to two short-duration private astronaut missions per year to the International Space Station. These missions will be privately funded, dedicated commercial spaceflights. Private astronaut missions will use a U.S. spacecraft developed under NASA’s Commercial Crew Program.

나사의 공식 발표에 따르면, 상업적으로 우주 여행을 개인에게도 공개할 것이고 빠르면 2020 년에 개인 우주 여행이 가능할 수도 있다고 하네요.
1년에 두 명씩 최대 30일 정도가 될 것 같습니다.

그렇다면 그 비용은 얼마가 될까요?

NASA will start with two private astronaut flights a year, with each trip lasting 30 days maximum each.

Each trip will likely cost over $50 million, with NASA getting $35,000 for each night a private astronaut spends on the International Space Station.

각 여행에는 5천만 달러(약 600억원)가 소요될 것이고, 개인은 International Space Station (위의 사진) 에 하루밤 숙박비로 35,000 불 (약 4,200 만원)을 지불하게 될거라고 합니다.

최대 30일의 여행이면 숙박비가1 밀리언 달러, 약 12억원이 되겠네요.

올해 Warren Buffett 와 함께 하는 점심식사가 4.5 밀리언 달러 (약 54억원) 에 낙찰되었으니, 그에 못지 않게 우주 여행에 관심이 많은 백만장자들은 이 금액으로 우주 여행에 한번 도전해 볼만하지 않을까 합니다.
