What Re-Wilding Means To Me And Why We All Need To Re-Wild Ourselves - TribeSteemUp BiWeekly Question

When you think of the word wild, what comes to mind?

IMG_2409.JPG

For some, the word wild is seen as a negative thing, as being somewhat crazy, extreme, disorderly or savage even. But wild, wild represents our natural state.

Think about the difference between wild animals and domesticated animals. How domesticated animals are controlled, conditioned and have very little freedom. There lives are being dictated for them.

Wild animals, who live in their natural habitat are very much a part of the natural order that exists there. They have a huge part to play in the survival of their ecosystem, their wildness is what keeps the environment healthy and robust.

They are very much connected to their environment.

Rewilding is all about embracing the natural within ourselves, re-establishing our connection to the land, to the seasons, to the cycles of the moon and the sun. It is all about re-connecting with ourselves, allowing ourselves to come back into balance.

We have been guided by our logical minds for far too long. Living in this culture of control, which has caused so many of us to server our bond with nature. Spending most of our time indoors, only going outside when the conditions suit us. Living in abodes, which have a constant temperature and where we no longer observe the cycles of the moon and the sun. No longer witnessing and celebrating the changing of the seasons, which in-turn cause our bodies to become out of sync with our natural environment.

The consequences of this have been and continue to be huge. It has impacted our health and the health of the planet.

We have been living out of balance for too long, no longer listening or trusting our intuitive self. It is our intuition that is always trying to connect us to our ancient inner knowing, helping us remember how all things are connected and that we are a part of nature and not here to dominant and control, but to co create.

Listening to our logical mind, we have forgotten that we have a huge capacity to self heal, self regulate and grow.

Rewilding is about engaging with our whole self, finding value in our logical and wild intuitive self. This allows us to develop a deeper understanding of who we are , of what our true potential is and thus deepening our connection to the earth.

When we interact and engage with nature, it helps us to become more grounded and allows us to embrace who we are and what we are a part of. It is about embracing the neglected parts of ourselves, allowing ourselves to play and discover. Going out into nature, so that we can slow down and return to natural time.

There are wild spaces everywhere, remember that nature surrounds us, it is always beneath us no matter where we live. We see the wild creep in, all the time in built up areas, plants that break through the concrete, that grow in the walls. Taking the time to find these places, to acknowledge them, allows us to connect with the natural side of life. Slowing down and observing.

Slowing down our thoughts, emptying our minds of all the internal chatter and making time to listen to ourselves, our intuitive self. For we are our greatness guide. Rewilding, is all about bringing you back to yourself, whilst deepening your connection to the earth.

This is what is needed as we move forward. Reconnecting to the land, educating ourselves about the many medicinal plants that grow all around us, that heal us on a much deeper level than modern medicine ever can.We need to reclaim our love, our knowledge and respect for wild native plants, just as we must for our inner wild self.

Returning to a more natural state of being, is all about changing the way in which we interact with the world. But first we must recognize our separation and our separation consciousness and acknowledge the devastation it has caused us and the planet. Only then we can move forward, exploring and discovering once again.

Rewilding ourselves so that we can bring about change!

Rewilding couldn't be explained any better than this. Very well put and naturally raw at the same time. If only this were taught in public education.

I 100% resemble this natural flow of syllables, especially this,

"Rewilding is about engaging with our whole self, finding value in our logical and wild intuitive self. This allows us to develop a deeper understanding of who we are , of what our true potential is and thus deepening our connection to the earth."

I will definitely be recommending this as a cross-post after it has earned its payout.
