I forgot to tag @old-guy-photos (I hope I got that right) who sponsors
#treetuesday
For about 7 yrs after I moved to Atlanta Ga, I lived in the basement
At my niece's house. I was there yesterday doing odd jobs for her
And washing a load of my clothes.
This tree↑ is from the front yard.
Our friend Valerie was repairing a tear in a coverlet for me, and
Her Dog "Guicci" insisted on keeping it held down while she worked.

I liked my filtered crop a little better

So back to the trees. In the back of the house, there was a LARGE tree,
I think it was a poplar. It was disputed who owned the tree, it was very
Nearly straddling the property line, and neither my niece's husband
nor the neighbor wanted to foot the bill for removing it.
During a big storm, a large limb broke loose and fell through the
Roof of our house. I'm in the basement working on some music,
Suddenly the whole house SHUDDERED, and it was raining on me
In the basement!!
I went up to check on the Husband (he's a quadriplegic) in the living
Room on the ground floor, he was fine, but there was this big tree
Sticking through the roof.
No one was home but the two of us, so I did my best to cover computers
and furniture that might be damaged by the water.
That tree stood there for another 4 yrs before they finally paid to remove it.

Now, in the hole atop the stump, my niece has a pot with a rose bush.
The boards you can see are not a Hobbit House, just something to
Support the potted rose.

I found these images strangely compelling.

And so here ends my #treetuesday entry
