Decidedly a tree, from the spring of life, long ago and far away, it seems. How far we have come in such a short time, blossoming into the peak of the season, in the blink of an eye... or perhaps three.

Today is #TreeTuesday initiated by @Old-Guy-Photos. Let's put up some trees today! If you haven't guessed it by now, this tree is one of my favorites. I walk right by him whenever I go out for a run or walk. No matter which way I go, it always comes back to him.

I probably have a least a hundred pictures of this tree, in various states of dress and well, undress. He was nekkid, three months ago. Perhaps you don't recognize him with his leaves on? Times flies. Catch it if you can.

I didn't want to shock anyone, but, I wanted to alert the media and let it get proper attention...Christmas in July is usually recognized as July 12!

Double my pleasure when the twins are in my path. Who can resist the beauty times two? It is like making a new friend, releasing the normal boundaries.

We interrupt this #TreeTuesday for a moment or three...A flower. There must always be a flower. This flower is dedicated to #TuesdayOrange #ColorChallenge by @Kalemandra, who colors my world, every single day.

I always post this poem down at the bottom of my posts. It is one that has become so near and dear to my heart. I only post the most famous part of it, but, wanted to post it in its entirety today.

they set my aunts house on fire
i cried the way women on tv do
folding at the middle
like a five pound note.
i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?

i’ve been praying,
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty
the other is on fire
both need water.

later that night
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,

"everywhere"
"everywhere"
"everywhere"

I was thinking about how I didn't put enough trees in there! Perspective is everything! I am glad you think I did. I think I put as many flowers and poems as I did trees! LOL

Yes, very nice cool sweet music, bubbly and cheerful at the same time, yet forever soft and gentle. I even hummed along a bit. I thought I was the only one who could hear it or us it my imagination?!

My cats influence my body clock, so I could sleep and start being active at strange cycles. Got to get back to the normal sunrise cycle! Thanks for your tip and kind support.

It’s going to be rainy for a few days in a roll here, the monsoon season is here.

Love pictures and lovely poems! I have a favorite tree also on our walking path, it's like an old friend. I like the sideways shot of palm trees - it's five o'clock somewhere and it looks like it's already started there.

Such greta tree shots and good to see your favorite again, Mine is the one I shared this morning, I fel it love with it on my first visit and swing by it often and always take shot sof it

Oh, you found me out!!! It isn't a tree, but the Capital Wheel is a Ferris wheel this is a permanent fixture down at the National Harbor and was inspired by the Roue de Paris.

The lights on it are on a color wheel and are changing all the time. It always has such brilliant color and I would have to admit, it is hard to get a bad shot of it.

Trees really do have personalities, don't they? Mine is just so big, I can't ignore him. Yours is just flat out cool!

It is actually closer to RFK stadium, so it is a little out of the way and you wouldn't see it unless you were looking for it. It is a really nice place and worthy of a visit! It has a lot of upscale shopping and hotels and eating.

They even have a Peep store. I had never seen one. Do you know those marshmallow chicks for Easter?

OK On My visits there I was just in the main area and did not get to explore much of the area, it is well worth a visit without a doubt

Oops I hit send by Mistake, Yea I have heard of peeps not sure I have ever tried them

I Used to love marshmallow but have never tried a Peep,I think the bright colors f them i what puts me off, now you have me thinking of a i suit in Z called Mallowpuffs, basically is a cookie with marshmallow on top coated in Chocolate dang they are so good

Haha ... xmas in July. When I was a kid I would often do a Christmas day in the summer. I would wait for a cool day and put on the carols and do some baking. My younger brother and sister loved it. It is about a feeling, if you know what I mean. Love the photos, especially that ferries wheel. And your words are exquisite:) Only ten more days before xmas:)

Haha! Yes!! I could almost tell that about you. There needs to be a break in between to celebrate I think. You understand! It is that feeling, exactly. That one that pulls the whole world up in a hug, spreading goodwill and cheer throughout the land.

Such a cool post! Your photos are beautiful, as always! I love how you mixed in the Christmas tree. It reminded me of a time when I was going on a shopping spree with my friends and we used to say: "Gotta be an Xmas in July!" trying to sort of justify our expenses.

As a forester, I am impelled to ask, is the fork in that tree above, or below 4.5 feet? Inquiring (dorky) minds need to know. OK, not that important.
