I feel confident here to say that we all love trees...yeah...and then there are trees and then there are the..WOW..trees that just blow you mind just by looking at them and trying to work out how is this possible.

When we look up at some trees you got to admit how did mother nature put this trees together she must certainly have high standards of constructional engineer university degrees this tree was like looking up one of them complexed city skyscrapers where a engineer or architect needs to go to university for years to learn how to do this.

I saw this Banyan Tree walking along the Bangkok river canal it has grown along this narrow walkway and looking at this amazing tree with all it's complexed branches and roots spreading everywhere has taken over this section of the walkway but still all it's down drop roots are neatly tucked up against the fence and the way it's hovering over this abandon haunted house and the old rusty fence it would make a great scene for a horror movie would you say.

These Banyan trees in Thailand are regarded as sacred spiritual trees they are actually worshiped by Thai's whom believe will bring them good luck and fortune they also believe that good spirits live in these Banyan trees and will not dare cut them down as it could bring death or bad luck to them.

If you ever visit Thailand and have seen these big Banyan trees in Thailand with these colored ribbons wrapped around them and little Buddhist statues sitting around these trees that is the reason as these trees are worshiped and blessed by the Monks as respect to the save keeping of the spirits living in these trees.

They really are one of my most loved tree they not only have so much character but this tree really has a clam spiritual look about them is why you see many of these Banyan trees in cemeteries here in Thailand as spirits prefer to live in these trees they feel safe.

I think it's safe to say all Asians have beliefs about spirits of the trees and mark certain trees out for protection... If you were to visit Bali - you'll see some trees wrapped with the chequered black and white cloths, tied around their trunks, like sarongs - more proof of this belief!

You caught some wonderful banyans here! :)

This is true i think many Asian countries believe in this even in India you will see this. This was the most biggest and most beautiful Banyan tree i have seen 😊

What a majestic tree. At the same time, it is kind of spooky looking. :-)

They are magnificent trees full of #amazingnature energy butI agree with @quotes-haven comment with the trees being a tad spooky at the same time. It adds to the atmosphere!

It's funny i do use the #amazingnature tag normally but i never enter his contest it just sounds to complicated with his rules , i like simply rules to follow his conditions are to mind boggling 🤔

And i agree it does look a tad spooky especially been near this abandon house 🙀

And thank you for the re-blog @angiemitchell 😊

Impressive how quickly these trees will reclaim areas humans have built in. Thanks for interesting information how they are used as spirit trees.

Similar tree here in South Africa, never heard of any special meaning attached to them in our region.

Have an awesome day @bigsambucca

Thank you @joanstewart sorry for late reply these trees are certainly empowering here in Thailand i just love there structure and what they stand for and yes African people would have similar beliefs in what i have heard.

Have a great day @joanstewart 😊
