🥇 Croscombe To Wells & Back: Bishop's Palace, Kissing Gates & More by @riverflows

On this walk, two days ago, we started at a village called Croscombe, and headed towards Wells, a cathedral city on the south side of the Mendip Hills. The walk there was stunning enough, walking along an old carriage way where the stone road moved along forest and a crumbling stone wall past bluebell woods where, if you climbed up, you could see remnants of the old iron age ramparts.

🥈 Orenburg - Russian Adventure by @lizelle

Orenburg, formerly known as Chkalov was founded as a fortress and was the military centre of the Ural Cossacks. The city is situated on the Ural River at the Sakmara confluence. Today the city has a large number of engineering industries producing heavy-industrial and agricultural machinery. It further has gas-processing facilities and also manufactures foods and consumer goods. Orenburg has teacher-training, medical as well as agricultural institutions.

🥉 Lucha Canaria by @for91days

Lucha Canaria is practiced in a circular sand ring, and most towns have their own arena, or Terrero, dedicated to the sport. There was a strong crowd on hand, along with television cameras, and this surprised us. It’s tempting to believe that, when you haven’t heard of something, it’s because nobody has heard of this, so it was jarring to see the popularity of Lucha Cnaria. We grabbed seats, and sat back to try and figure the game out.
