Travel Digest #1205
Introduction
Hi everyone @LivingUKTaiwan here with today's #TravelDigest. I'm going to do a bit of shameless plug today. Recently, I noticed there a lot of newbies joining Hive, so yesterday I did a post sharing some of the mistakes I made when I was a newbie nearly four years ago. Hopefully some of you will find this post useful as they are really basic things that people don't think about when we start blogging.
Now, let's get back to our Pinmapple curated posts today. Enjoy!
All featured posts are visible on the Editors Choice Map and upvoted by @pinmapple, @blocktrades, @theycallmedan and the curation trail. For more travel digests check out #traveldigest.

🥇 Visiting the largest mud city in America and second in the WORLD ! ! ! by @josehany
"Well to start my tour, I hired a tour guide, and the first thing he asked was if I wanted to walk through all the ruins or take a car that would take me to an entrance???? it seemed strange to me because the idea is to see all the ruins of this city why would you want to take a car to another entrance? But on my way I realized that is what all tourists do, LOL. I guess my guide must have hated me for making him walk for over an hour hahaha."

🥈 CAMINO DE SANTIAGO: Travel day 3 & 4 (Camino Day 1) - Porto, Portugal to Sarria Spain by @zo3d
"Because Jade hadn’t been well we opted to send our bags ahead to our next town which was a one building village called Morgade. The first time you send your bags ahead it’s a little nerve wracking (especially coming from South Africa where you just expect things to go missing) but we needn’t have worried. The guest house either takes your 3 Euros and puts a tag with your next guest house on the bag OR a small envelope containing your 3 Euros is attached directly to your bag with the next destination written on it. So simple!!! And your bag arrives before you finish your days walk."

🥉 The farthest island I've been to south of the Philippines | A week in Tawi-Tawi ⛵️ by @travelingmercies
"For some reason, we booked flights from Manila to Zamboanga and then Zamboanga to Tawi-Tawi. It took us a whole day to arrive in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi. From the airport, we were welcomed warmly by the organizers of the event. The place where we stayed for a whole week was this resort by the beach. It was my first time staying alone in a cottage with a whole wall made of window glass! 😅Nevertheless, I was able to sleep comfortably despite my imaginations of possibly seeing a ghost outside."
