Great Sand Dunes National Park is a preserve located in the Sangre de Cristo Range of Colorado. It's made up of a large area of sand dunes, with some that span up to 750 feet tall. I took this picture of the sand slopes during my trip to Great Sand Dunes National Park.

It's a fun place to explore. The melting snow in the distant mountains provides a small creek that runs past the dunes. People use boards to ride down the dunes as if they were surfing waves of sand. Overall, it's a great national park to see!
