Two Days in Denver Colorado, Keystone Mountain and Playing "Where's Waldo" in a Sea of Marijuana ~ #fasttimesatkeystonehigh

When you find a killer deal on a round trip flight, you gotta pounce on it. I was checking out some dates on some flights to Denver and found RT tickets for a whopping, get this....85 dollars! Yes, $85 bucks. The checked bag my buddy Rick and I split was almost the equivalent of another RT ticket, $84, lol. But still too good a deal to pass up.

We landed at around 7am Monday morning and went straight to my buddy Dane's warehouse where they grow enough marijuana to sedate the equivalent of 1 million Snoop Dogg's and a quarter million Willy Nelson's.

I had to play a little game of "Where's @intothewild", can you see me in the tree's???

This grow site was incredible. Dane gave us one hell of a tour. I have never seen so much weed in my life. 45 different strains, 2200 lights, and a massive 80K electric bill each month. That is insane. But they are good at what they do, based on all the awards they have won in the past few years.

One quick selfie before we head out to enjoy the rest of the day.

The main purpose of the trip was to get some time getting our gnar on. I had been to Breckenridge a few years back, so I wanted to try a different mountain this time, we settled on Keystone.

My legs were not happy with me after only a few runs. I was not in shape for this type of physical activity. The high altitude/low oxygen definitely didn't help matters. The cure??? My favorite beer, on tap, at the top of the mountain. New Belgium's Citradelic IPA.

To help wash down the ridiculously over priced, over cooked burger I had as well. The fries were good and Rick bought a Reese's PB Cup pack and shared one with me, so there was that ;)

Bellies full, we trecked back out and boy oh boy did the temp drop and the wind pick up. I couldn't feel my nose after one more run. We got in about 10 runs total and our bodies were telling us that we weren't Spring chickens anymore.

On our way back, we HAD to stop at this pizza joint called Beaujo's. Thin or thick crust which is covered in honey. Never had honey on your pizza crust??? TRY IT! Delicious. Our thick crust Hawaiian. Don't judge me for liking Pineapple on my 'za.

My wife lived out in Denver for a few years before we met and always raved about Beaujo's. I sent her this pic and captioned it "Playing in the snow". Which she loved....but then I followed it up with the real big picture and her jealousy could not be contained, lol.

I made some serious husband points though when I told her I brought her a present.....a slice of the Hawaiian pizza we bought. Might be the first Beaujo's pizza to ever be eaten in MN, who knows? To say she was ecstatic would be putting it mildly.

We killed a few hours watching Jeopardy on Netflix before we had to head to the airport and fly home. It was a real quick trip, but we got so much done and accomplished that I made some memories I will never forget.

See you soon Denver for round 3! Thanks for reading y'all and Steem on!
