Hello fellow Steemians!

Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday.

Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Europe.

Please see the winner of the last week´s European Thursday @fotogruppemunich with the following entry:

The picture I show you was taken in the Kromlauerpark and shows the Rakotzbrücke. It is very small and just 300 meters long and up to 50 wide. The bridge is 35 meters long. It is forbidden to cross the bridge. Thanks to the reflection, there is a beautiful circle which makes the bridge a popular motif.

Officially, we are still under a stay-at-home order here on the Azores but I have managed to sneak out to nature a few time lately so I can finally share some fresh photo with you. Not the coolest one but it still felt great to spend some time in the fresh air. I clicked this shot just outside of Ponta Delgada, the capital city of the Sao Miguel Island, Azores, Portugal.

View of Ostrý (1044 meters a.s.l.) from saddle. Ostrý (translated as Sharp from Czech language) is a mountain in the Beskids Mountains, Czechia. The photo was taken during one of my hikes in June last year 😉

This is the St. Hedwig´s Church, one of the most interesting modernist landmarks of Opava (Czech republick). He is easily recognizable by its typical, pyramid-like appearance.
Was built between 1933 and 1937 the prominent Silesian architect Leopold Bauer. The church is dedicated to St. Hedwig a famous Duchess of Silesia who lived in the early 13th century.

Just a thursday walk in my "backyard", after lunch... Not bad, don't you think?
A photo taken with my smartphone, near the city of Évora (Alentejo region, Southern Portugal).

Photo was taken on Iceland, back in February 2017. I really like reflection photos, but am still a beginner on that field. Iceland is a great destination to learn as it offers a lot of water which reflects different motives, such as this glacier.

A moemory from last year, while visiting some friends: the typical landscape we can find in Alentejo, on the south of Portugal. Sparse trees, mainly the well known cork trees and holm oaks, green... and never ending fields!

Today (April 23th) is St. George, a day of celebration in Catalonia and in Barcelona. During this day the city is covered with roses. The photo shows two famous buildings of the city, corresponding to the “Catalonian Modernist” architectonical movement. The Casa Batlló ( its balconies are covered with artificial roses) designed by Antoni Gaudí and Casa Amatller built by Josep Puig i Cadafalch.

Covered streets are good when the weather is not nice. There are many in Europe and here is an example from the city of Braga in Portugal. Braga is a labyrinth of small alleys containing historic sites, unique monuments and traditional shops.
