Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday.
Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Europe.

Dunyvaig Castle built on Islay, Scotland is a castle dating back to the 12th century AD when it was built atop a wooden Fort. Its ruins now overlook Lagavulin Distillery. An amazing relic on the seashore.
Your entries need to be submitted by 8 A.M. Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words.
Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge.
Best 10 entries will receive a 10% upvote and other valid entries will get a 5% upvote from me. Out of those best 10 entries, one winner and one runner-up will be picked. Their entries will be shared on Appics in separate posts and they will receive my upvotes on their posts as the reward. The winner will get my 100% upvote and the runner-up will get my 50% upvote on Steemit and on Appics too if their posts were posted through Appics.

Stonehenge is a truly magic place. As you walk around it you can feel its magic and mysteries. Archaeologists date it back to 2000-3000BC,with the first blue stones erected between 2400-2200BC. A place you need to feel more than see.

Berat, Albania
Berat in Albania features a beautiful old town with architecture typical for the Ottoman period. The town is overlooked by a fortress that you can spot on top of the mountain in the background. The climb takes a while, but is certainly worth it for the spectacular views.

A majestic cork oak (Quercus suber) rises at the end of the trail, on the iconic Alentejo plain. This particular tree species was declared a symbol of the Portuguese nation, being protected by law. It's also the most iconic tree in the sunny and warm Alentejo, the largest region in Portugal.

Located in the center of Vilnius, the capital city of the country, the National Museum of Lithuania consists of five major departments: History, Archaeology, Ethnography, Iconography and Numismatics. Currently a part of the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture, the museum houses approximately 800,000 items from a variety of different areas.
Symi Island in Greece was a very charming little island it has all the activities that you can see and do on this little island great beaches , restaurants a beautiful colorful harbor with all the colored houses on the mountains a island you fall in love with and don't want to leave.
Yorkshire Land
I am fascinated by the view while travelling to/from a destination. It is a frame after frame of nature's beauty, be it in the cloud formation, rocks, mountains, fields, trees - it is all beautiful.
This view was shot somewhere on the way to SPURN (Nature Reserve) in Yorkshire. Coast is nearby. The tiny house caught my eye for being that small dot between the fields, the sky and ginormous windmills. Makes you think of your presence in this world.
This is almost black and white photo captured during my trip to Iceland two years ago. As already mentioned Iceland is one of my favorite countries and the one for which I certanly hope to visit again someday.

Just keep the ISO as low as you can and use an editing plugin like Nik Collection. If you shoot a crop sensor, you will get noticeable noise no matter what you do. But with a fast lens (ideally Belo f2.8) and an ISO around 3000 you should be fine. You can also use long exposure noise reduction if the camera has it.
This photo of the gardens of the Palace of Schönbrunn was taken after a snow fall. This palace was the summer residence of the imperial family of the Austria-Hungarian Empire. It is located in Vienna. At the background of the image there is the famous Gloriette, located at the top of a gentle hill.
This is the view near the top of Mount Bolletto, one of the mountains near lake Como, in Northern Italy. The mist spreaded through the lower altitudes, giving the sensation we're standing above the clouds. The landscape was without a doubt the highlight of the hiking trail!
A lovely winter day skiing the mountains in Corviglia , Summit in Switzerland at the elevation of 2486 meters above sea level could not have asked for a better day clear blue skies and breathtaking views as far as you can see.
