Take a walk around Thorpe Cloud, UK.

Only an hour or so drive away, Thorpe Cloud is another little gem that I had no idea about until recently.

Thorpe Cloud, as I found out last week, is a very popular tourist destination and once you visit you can see why. With huge hills to climb and beautiful valleys to stroll beside, it's no wonder so many people choose to spend the day here.

Reaching the top of whichever hill you choose to climb will reward you with the most spectacular of views.

Looking across the countryside, and down the valleys that cut through the landscape, leaves you in awe of this wonderful world and being so high up just makes you feel free, a feeling much in demand right now.

As we climbed down from the peak we could see lots of families having a great time paddling in the water below us. In the baking midday heat, the valley looked so cool and inviting we couldn't get down quickly enough.

Once at the foot of the hill we took a right turn and followed the stream until it took us to a large set of stone steps. We managed to haul ourselves up to the top where we found a nice area to have a well deserved rest and a picnic. The path carried on even further and, for all I know, quite possibly continues all the way to China. For ourselves this was the turning point and with some food in our tummies we headed back down the stone steps towards the water.

We retraced our steps back down the stream and carried on until we reached the hill we had first climbed down. Walking further on, we encountered hundreds of people all sunbathing, dog walking and generally enjoying the open space. It was great to see so many people in one place and absolutely nobody was freaking out about "social distancing". It almost seemed as if the hysteria surrounding the lockdown was just a bad dream and I'd woken up in paradise.

At the end of the stream we came back to the bridge we'd crossed at the beginning of our adventure. Now all that was left a to do was to find secluded field and released the drone!

Check out this awesome footage I caught using my Phantom 3 Pro Drone!

The landscape is quite unusual, at one point it looks like a pyramid with its top cut off!! 😂
