Adapting to a new reality

A lot of things have been written about the recent HF and the effect they had on steem, on the users, the authors, the curators and the investors. It is clear that the reality has changed and therefore it is only normal that we adapt to this new reality.

What are the changes for the HVOTE token

The HVOTE token is nothing else than the tokenized version of the account @happyvoter. The value of the HVOTE Token is calculated as follows: Steem Power of the @happyvoter account divided by the number of Tokens in circulation.

The proceeds of every sold token is transformed once a week into steem power. The aim of the account is to grow constantly and to generate income. This income is distributed once a week as follows:

• 50% of the income is used to power up and to increase the value of the token.
• 30% of the income is used to fill up to buy back basket that is used to buy tokens back on the market so that everybody will be able to sell their tokens when they wish to do so.
• 20% is left on the account.

The income source is what changes most

So far the main income source of the account was the sale of upvotes over smartsteem. With HF 21 this income source is hower not so promising anymore and we decided to change the concept slightly:

• We will try to curate posts as soon as they are created and thus increase considerably the curation rewards
• We will upvote automatically some people who consistently produce quality posts and are in our eyes not getting enough value
• We will upvote the big token holders who own more than 2% of all the token in circulation by 100% upvotes
• Only the remaining upvote power will be sold over smartsteem
• We will also resteem all the posts that have been curated manually
• In order to spread the knowledge about HVOTE, we will also leave a comment to all the posts that have been curated manually
• We will try to write one post a week that fullfills a certain quality standard about a topic of the work of HVOTE. There are enough "weekly reports" and such on steem. We don't need to add to this. All the author rewards that are generated will stay on the account and be used to power up.

Investing in HVOTE

HVOTE can be bought on steem-engine. Thanks to the mecanismes in place the value in steem of the token can only increase. It's a great way to participate in the profits of this account that tries from now on to uphold the principles of #newsteem.

Big Token holders

To be a Big Token holder, you need to own 2% of the HVOTE Token in circulation. As a big token holder you get all your posts systematically upvoted 100% by @happyvoter as long as you own 2% of the tokens. New Big Token holders are defined each week in the context of the weekly update:

Maximum number of Tokens needed to be Big Token holder next week: 23
