"Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success." – Henry Ford

Hive is not simply a blockchain - it is a decision, a mindset and a like minded community that shares in the growth of such.

THE WHAT, WHY, WHO & WHERE OF IT ALL

These are my five...

WHAT

(What Hive offers you as an individual)

Hive personally offers me a lot. I want to write and it gives me that opportunity to write on different subjects that I feel passionate about. It provides a soundboard, an outlet for your feelings and life events that you are experiencing.

It makes you part of the Hive community, a sense of belonging. You meet different people on Hive, and you make new friends.

It's the biggest magazine in the world that covers every field of interest that you can think of. The best is it's for free. You don't pay to read this magazine.

Then lastly but a very important aspect for me at the moment is that I can earn money with my writing, especially during this difficult lockdown period. It helps me to provide for my household.

WHY

(How Hive is different to other social media and blogging platforms)

I come to Hive to earn some money, as they say come for the money and stay for the community. the beginning Hive and the community can be like a drug. I was on it about 18 hours out of the 24 in a day. It's not at all the same as Facebook or other social media platforms. It's totally different as Hive is a blogging platform with interaction with the friends you make along the way. Facebook keeps me in contact with my real life family and friends.

WHO

(People & spaces you find Hive support and gain enthusiasm from)

Inspiration you can find everywhere on Hive. I found inspiration in almost every post I read, from the most basic to the very intellectual. Everyone have something to contribute. The @deepdives community inspires me to look deeper and to investigate. I started to enjoy that a lot. The beautiful people of the @powerhousecreatives community and their support are reeling me in more and more.

I was inspired from the very beginning by @giantbear, she introduced me to Hive. Her passion, perseverance and endurance really inspires me.
What she has achieved with the education community is admirable and inspiring. Her constant willingness to help and encourage is a great example. I will never forget what she told me: just keep on writing, whatever you do, don't stop!

@canadian-coconut introduced me to the sad plight of children kidnapped by CPS and the @familyprotection community opened my eyes to a lot of issues that I was totally ignorant of. Writing for that community immediately grab my heart. @canadian-coconut immediately start supporting my posts when I started to write on Hive, for which I am so very grateful.

Lately, @jaynie inspire me with her creativity, her immense writing talent and passion for the @powerhousecreatives. I am looking forward to get to know more of her and other members of this community.

@kubbyelizabeth is just a wonderful optimistic, bubbly human being that did for me on the blockchain that nobody else did for me before. We connected from the start, I think it was our faith in Jesus Christ, that we have in common that established that connection. She did a fundraiser for me and paid over funds to me to buy a brand new state-of-the-art Computer. Also, a big shout out to everybody that contributed to that computer. You can read about it here:

@r0nd0n and @globocop who had faith in Kubby and me to start a show on mspwaves. That was one of the best experiences of my life.

Lastly but for sure not the least @nextgen622 who delegated for a time to my hubby and our Christian curation project @forgodsglory and his support of my and hubby's Christian posts. Still thinking of how I can revive that project.

WHERE

(The front ends / dapps of your choice and why)

Oh my goodness, I am totally technically disabled, the TV-remote can be too difficult for me. So, I don't use any dapps and I just post via hive.blog I need to keep it simple.

#THRIVEONHIVE

(My final thoughts & conclusion)

Come join the Hive community. As you can see it has a lot to offer. Make no mistake it would take a lot of effort from your side, but it is worth the while in the long run.

Appreciated your reblog and support @hope777 - and enjoyed to read a little about your journey too!! South Africa is doing t very hard - I connect regularly with a friend in Cape Town and hear it first hand from her. What strikes me about most Afrikaaners, is they're big on gratitude and low on complaining.

Do you know Klasie van Heerdan, who lived in Thailand here for some years?? He's very proactive with the church in South Africa.

Thank you so much for sharing your story @hope777 - I am so glad that we connected!! Hive really has transformed so many lives in countless ways and I truly hope that more people begin to see that! I have also found that Hive has challenged me and my fears, allowing me to let go of many of them!

Such a lovely contribution to this initiative, thank you! And thank you also for the lovely compliment you gave me.
