Yay for lovely spring days! :D We had a fantastic one earlier in the week, and then the following day til now it dipped back into cold rainy wintry weather but it's all good I don't mind the rain so much (as long as I don't have to be out in it XD). The transitional seasons are always kinda weird.
Alice looks suitably shocked that she can dive through the mirror, I don't know if I'd be brave enough to jump into parallel dimensions these days as I'm genuinely concerned about being able to get back XD

About HardFork 22, I have to admit that for users like me, it's quite obscure and incomprehensible... As well everything wasn't so clear before :D
I'm the kind of user who is happy to share his work, to go here and there time to time so see other works... but without taking too much time to understand the workings and mechanisms of the system. In that way, I could say that Steemit is not totally user friendly for now ^^ So what I hope, for myself, is to see this platform evolving toward more simplicity - maybe it takes some adjustments like this Hardfork first ?
Oh, I think if you cant quite feel the difference, then you shouldn't worry too much about Hard Forks, Djac :)
The MOST palpable thing about hard forks are the down time and network instability that are bound to happen as the platform adjusts to new settings. Once they are stabilized, things should get back to normal :)

No, they are not difficult to make cuz if they are, I wouldn't be able to do them since I'm technically challenged XD I basically just start KRITA (the drawing application) then hit the Windows button with the letter G, and tells the compie that it's a 'game' and that i wanna record a 'gaming session'
After that, the video capture just pops up in the VIDEO folder :D
I donno about the blue. It kinda bothers me now. I might turn it into gray scale later if I ever go back on this drawing.... And aaah no no. I'm not doing series for a looooooooooong time. That zodiac stuff really burned me out~

I have never enjoyed downvoting anyone either, but it seems like maybe in Steemit, it is a ... uh, communal responsibility? Kind of? Like, in real life, too, it's nice to be able to depend on police or OTHER PEOPLE to tell the members of our society who's not behaving but maybe in a decentralized system, it will fall onto the members of that community to rise up and sometimes have the courage to tell those that are taking advantage of the others that they should........ NOT be that way?
I'm still thinking about it all, though... hahah... it's an interesting conundrum, for sure :)

I still think they're wrong and create nothing but negativity. Nothing good will come of it. Already I've seen the term "quality control" bandied about. Problem is, who's to say what's quality and what isn't, especially in art? Is the wildlife photographer who is patiently waiting hours or days for that certain shot not entitled to a good reward? Because it's "only" one single picture of a spider or a squirrel and therefore a "low quality post"?

I have to object to one point of yours: You think it's a "free market system" but it's not when a downvote doesn't affect the voting mana like an upvote does, i.e. when it's "free". When the person downvoting has to "put their money where their mouth is," it's an individual opinion and O.K.. When it becomes a system policy supported by a special free downvote pool it's fascist crap. Today it's the bot votes. Tomorrow it's political leanings.

I see. I'm paying Vimeo now, or rather, my hubby is. It affords us a 1080p custom embedded player without taking the traffic away from Steem to a mostly political context. I guess I'll stick with that.
If you want to try Vimeo, I believe up to 500 MB a week are free. I don't think your short timelapses will reach that limit.

i dont know much about 3Speak, to be honest! That's why I'm trying it out :)
I think anyone can subscribe to 3Speak, though. It isn't free, however! There is a 20-ish Steems monthly subscription fee~
