Rodger Walters says, Twitter is Orwellian, in reply to #unity4j being deleted
Recently the @Unity4j Twitter account, one of the largest pro-Wikileaks accounts on the internet, was deleted from Twitter. The people behind the account @Unity4J have stated that Twitter gave no reason for the deletion of the account and have also not replied to any other requests for information as to why it was deleted. Rodger Walters from the band Pink Floyd posted a video on Twitter talking about this, in which he called Twitter Orwellian and an Arm of the State. Rodger Walters stated that this has now been proved after the latest deletion. Rodger Walters has spoken out in support for Wikileaks many times before. This is unfortunate situation that Twitter should be found behaving in this manner, I learnt Youtube which has been fond playing that tricky game, but I am a little bit perplex to see Twitter in this indulging act. Thank you, I enjoyed watching your video in @threespeak here.
Unfortunately Steemit is not much better than twitter. Steemit combines plutocracy and mob-rule, where the wealthy and hive-mind can silence anyone. Until Steemit eliminates all forms of flag/down-vote, and gives power back to the individual user, nothing will change for the better. Steemit is yet another another censored platform.
