It was the same thing he said with the removing the witness votes.

They did get around to it after a few hours.

We will see if they do it.

its a shame that many of us do not trust binance anymore, that shows how much binance have made people loose trust in them after they have shown alot of people that they are an exchange that can be easily bribed and corrupt....@taskmaster4450

Summary:
In this video transcript, the discussion revolves around recent developments in the battle for decentralization and the fight against Justin Sun's influence on the STEEM blockchain. CZ from Binance announced a plan to power down the stake influenced by Justin Sun, following earlier actions by Binance to undo witness votes. The central focus is on the role of exchanges in governance, specifically criticizing Binance and Wobi for their inappropriate actions. The episode emphasizes the importance of protecting the blockchain from external threats and the unity within the STEEM community in defending their platform.

Detailed Article:
The video transcript delves into the ongoing saga of decentralization within the blockchain space, particularly highlighting the recent announcement by CZ from Binance regarding a significant decision. CZ tweeted about initiating the process of powering down a stake that was under the presumed influence of Justin Sun, a move that signifies a shift in Binance's stance in the battle for governance on the STEEM blockchain.

The episode discusses how Binance had initially supported Justin Sun's witnesses but later retracted their votes, indicating a potential withdrawal from his influence. The speaker, while acknowledging CZ's claim of not being aware of the power down option, expresses skepticism about this lack of knowledge given the easy availability of information on the topic.

The analysis extends to emphasize the pivotal role of exchanges in governance, pointing out the inappropriate actions of Binance and Wobi in involving themselves in blockchain governance matters. The transcript questions the ethics of using custodial funds to participate in governance and the repercussions faced by token holders whose funds are now locked up due to these exchanges' actions.

Moreover, the discussion touches upon the community's response to the situation, highlighting the unity and determination among STEEM users to protect their platform from external threats and preserve the principles of decentralization. The episode also raises ethical concerns about the intentions of malicious actors in the space, particularly Justin Sun, who is viewed as potentially aiming to dismantle the blockchain based on past statements.

The episode concludes by underscoring the ongoing tug of war for control over the blockchain and expresses anticipation about the outcomes of CZ's tweet regarding powering down the stake. The speaker highlights the potential ramifications of either confirming the victory for decentralization or revealing the malicious intent of certain players in the community.

In essence, the video transcript provides a detailed analysis of recent developments in the battle for blockchain governance, shedding light on the complexities of decentralization, exchanges' roles in governance, community unity, and ethical considerations within the cryptocurrency space.
