For inflation to kick in or asset valuations to go up, the other factor in addition to the quantity of the money supply is the velocity of money. If everyone is just hoarding cash, the prices of everything go down.
If they start doing helicopter money, it could lead to hyperinflation!
£3,000 for a small business will not keep them going for very long.
Yes, they are starting to get desperate to keep the system going.
People will eventually twig to question what this FIAT currency is, then spend it as fast as possible.
Hyperinflation is certainly a distinct possibility at this point.
