Yes, things are looking really good for Ethereum, with Eth 2.0 being released later on this year.
Not paid much attention to DeFi as yet, but will do from you said. Certainly looks very promising.

I.m not very conversant with the ETH chain, probably because it doesn't capture my fancy. I'll love it more if we had a social interface like steem which rewards with ECR20 tokens.
