In my opinion it could have happened because the price of a crypto coin could have risen or fallen in the future
I agree with you!
At the moment, ethereum is the leading contender as it has greater adoption and network effect.
I think staking is a nice idea, the only flaw I see is, if everyone stakes the inflation created will cancel out the reward. I prefer something with a strict monetary policy like Bitcoin.
