Snail, robot, silent film, music video Mashup - #TIBFOXEDITINGCHALLENGE 1

Thank you to @tibfox for organizing this edit contest. I love editing and especially when there are no rules on what to do. You just have plenty of video footage and the freedom to do anything within your skills. And tools. Go with the flow. And I did.

I've always loved editing according to music. And that's what I did this time too. Except it's a bit of a three song mashup. Not a proper one but a mix match thingy. Editing and mixing music with Premiere is a pain in the ass. So this is what I settled for. Quick changes, edits and cuts.

It's amazing how much there are free to use video footage in the internet and as I think it's neat to mix old with new, that's what I did in this case too. And it's a good thing I finally found a place for my snail and robot videos that I took about two years ago. (Don't ask why, I just wanted to.) And the birds & creatures dancing animation... That's an old one. Reusing is awesome.

I edited this video in about a week. Every time I had some spare time I added and adjusted something. I could have still continued doing that but fortunately there's a deadline. Otherwise I would edit this forever. Over and over again. More features and stuff. The thing is, even though I do think my own jokes are funny, there comes a time when they no longer are. So that is the time to stop editing. Or just few hours before that perhaps.

Now that I'm fed up with this thing, it's time to publish what I did.

5 and half minutes of stuff put together. Never before have I done anything with a green screen material and it's a good thing that I did now. My thick head learned things. Can't wait for the next challenge @tibfox!
