Interview with Dan Hensley '@theycallmedan' - Crypto/STEEM investor and co-founder of 3speak.
For my live show called 'Crypto Talk Monday' on MSP waves, I interviewed Dan Hensley (@theycallmedan). He's a crypto investor, STEEM whale, top Quora writer, professional poker player and co-founder of 3speak.
In the interview, we talk about how Dan discovered crypto through Poker and his research that ultimately led to him finding Steem and other blockchains.
We talk about value and how technology (in this case blockchain) can leapfrog humans/countries forward. (example: The introduction of the mobile (smart) phone leapfrogged whole continents into the digital age).
We talk about web 3.0 vs web 2.0 and how we are able to retake ownership of our data (money being data too).
A large part of the interview is about Steem. On Steem you own your data compared to Quora and Facebook. It's very powerful.
What makes Steem a good blockchain besides that? Why has Dan invested in over a million STEEM? And we talk about the new Hard Fork that is going to occur on the 27th of August and get his opinion on that.

Solid chat gents really enjoyed the positive outlook and how you think the new HF will affect the ecosystem.
I think that STEEM is a product of what it's trying to achieve and putting money into the hands of people who don't understand, tech, blockchain or finance, putting it in the hands of poor people will always have major sell pressure.
Putting currency in the hands of those who are can work for it and not just buy and sell it, giving them a playground to learn without investing is admirable and we're doing a lot of costly education for users now that will pay off in the future once these things become the norm
Unfortunately the first ones through the door always get hit with the bloody nose, it's about how much you can get hit but keep moving forward and being hit down as much as steem has I think its a pretty robust project
Was stocked when he mentioned m-pesa! I haven't used my bank account thanks to mobile money(our version) in almost 2 years. It's a real convenience.
Hopefully we also leap frog to crypto adodption soon rather than later. Great show, loved the interview!

Hi Gillian, I am out at the moment can’t look into it but I believe you can reload the video and then skip straight to 27:10 (put the slider there) and it keeps playing. Let me know if it works.

really enjoyed this interview. exyle has a very interesting analytical style. Very refreshing as many crypto youtubers are allways overexited and almost screaming througout their entire video.
really enjoy the work @theycallmedan does for @threespeak - could be a real killer application for steem ecosystem.
I am into Bitcoin since 2015 but dumped almost all for #dash as it has a #spendl approach and i can get interest via masternode shares. I even flew to the Philippines using cryptocurrency. I am targeting paying everything online with cryptocurrency. Hope Steem will become the payment hub for ALL things of intangible content.
