good news. our neighbours were from Qussair they came here the same day the FSA came to their town. they went back to their home a month ago.. i hope the children will find new friends in the schools there.
i would still prefer the periodic table or unit circle to be hung in the school, instead of assads face... i wouldnt want to see merkels face every day... maybe its just a cultural thing since syrians seem to be proud of assad... but im glad things settle to normal...

That's a general article posted in regards with placing president's pictures on government buildings, not sure why they need to block it for some visitors, maybe they need the tracking info for earnings.. Anyways, it's a practice throughout the world to place the president's pictures in public buildings, also if there's a founding leader or a historical leader the nation is proud of. It's nothing limited to Syria, and as I said it's not in the classrooms, it's in the admin room, and even if in the classrooms it won't be that much of an issue especially in the case of Syria and the entire world's attempts to demonize the Syrian leadership for defending the country, so these small things can be tolerated if it goes beyond the international norms.
