[Acid Plays] Final Fantasy XIV Online

After my last attempt at an MMO/RPG I stumbled across a website that showed current active players in most mmo's and apparently Final Fantasy XIV was on 2nd spot. So I figured I'd check it out and to my surprise they were also offering a trial period so that was nice, not sure what exactly it entails or how far I'm going to be leveling up to until I hit a cap but let's dig into it.
In this video we watch a short video explaining what has occurred and then we do a quick character creation and are off to the starting cutscenes until we make it to our first city/inn.
I'm excited to check out how the battle system works in this game and if it's similar to WoW or other MMO's I've played in the past like Tera, Rift and ArcheAge.

I hope you like it more than I did. I found it exceptionally repetitive and the fetch quests drove me nuts.

Heh fetching items? I hated those in WoW too, I didn't mind grinding quests as much though.
Man I can't wait for a new one with a blockchain based economy behind it, I think that's what may bring back the magic to MMORPG's.
Yeah like go to this place ages away and give some guy this useless thing then run waaaay TF back then get another quest that does the same thing...lol

Fuck xD I hope the cooldown on the teleport/hearthstone is not too long.
i think i made it to like level 40 or something, the long termers told me "stick with it, the endgame content is soooo worth it" after about my 9 thousandth fetch quest I couldn't stick with it anymore.
I honestly do hope you like it but i really can't imagine anyone going from WoW feeling as though FF14 is a good choice. Graphically, it is nice and that is about all i can say for it.
