This is a bit of my time that I would like to gift to all of you but specially to my friend @wesphilbin one of those you cannot forget once you get to know them.

Este es un poco de mi tiempo que me gustaría regalaros a todos pero especialmente a mi amigo @wesphilbin, una de esas personas que no puedes olvidar una vez que la conoces.

I have a dream but how to achieve it?, is it possible to make it become real?, "what" and "how" are my keywords here.
My dream is easy to explain : I want to become a musician. I want to make my own original music and enjoy while creating and why not, performing it live some day.

Yo tengo un sueño(ilusión) pero, ¿cómo lograrlo?, ¿es posible hacerlo realidad?, "qué" y "cómo" son mis palabras clave aquí.
Mi sueño es fácil de explicar: quiero convertirme en músico. Quiero hacer mi propia música original y divertirme mientras la creo y por qué no, tocar en directo algún día.

What to do? || ¿Qué hacer?

It is often said that you have to make a big effort, encourage yourself every single day to work hard in order to be constant.
It doesn't seem to be as difficult when you love what you are doing... it's not in my case, it’s very tough to keep going.
I try and practice every day on drums and piano. I'm also learnig to create music using audio editing software and other programs.
I've recently joined the Vimm broadcasting thing where I go live every Saturday at 22:00 UTC time. It's all about electronic stuff mixed live mainly loops or tracks I recorded beforehand. Here I put you the link in case you are curious : https://www.vimm.tv/drakernoise

Se dice habitualmente que tienes que hacer un gran esfuerzo, animarte a tí mismo cada día para trabajar duro y ser constante.
No parece ser tan difícil cuando amas lo que haces... no es mi caso, me resulta realmente duro seguir adelante.
Todos los días trato de practicar batería y piano. También estoy aprendiendo cómo crear música usando software de edición de audio y otros programas.
Recientemente me he unido a Vimm que trata de streaming. Emito en directo cada Sábado a las 22:00 hora UTC. Fundamentalmente es música electrónica con mezcla de loops en directo o temas que previamente he grabado. Pongo aquí el link por si hay alguien interesado : https://www.vimm.tv/drakernoise

My reality || Mi realidad

I have a daily job that gives me vital income. Not that I have to maintain a family anymore (I'm divorced) but obviously I need to work in order to pay my bills.
This consumes most of my available time in life. It takes almost 11 hours a day (on winter time. It rises up to 12 in summer time) : we have a lunch gap of two hours (three in summer time) .
Since my divorce I live with my old father and two brothers one of them with mental issues so I have also to deal with daily and weekly home duties. Keep substracting hours to my total...
We should also deduct more time spent on Discord servers in which I collaborate, it's a daily stuff. I love contacting people and helping them out if possible. It's quite difficult for me to say "no" to a help request.

Tengo un trabajo diario que me proporciona mis ingresos. No mantengo una familia (soy divorciado) pero obviamente tengo que trabajar si quiero pagar mis facturas.
Esto consume la mayor parte de mi tiempo disponible en mi vida. El trabajo me ocupa casi 11 horas al día (en horario de invierno. Se incrementa a 12 en horario de verano): tenemos un espacio de dos horas ( tres en horario de verano) para comer.
Desde que me divorcié vivo con mi padre que es ya bastante mayor y dos hermanos uno de ellos con problemas mentales así que tengo también tareas del hogar a diario y semanalmente. Sigue restando horas al total...
También deberíamos descontar el tiempo que dedico en varios servidores de Discord en los que colaboro diariamente. Me encanta contactar con la gente y ayudar si es posible. Me resulta muy difícil decir "no" cuando se me solicita ayuda.
Salgo por ahí muy ocasionalmente y solamente cuando hay conciertos en vivo en una genial sala de mi ciudad:

How to manage my lack of free time || Cómo gestionar mi falta de tiempo libre

I try and keep my schedule or daily goals. Being persistent it's needed to learn music.
But I'm human, although my mind tells what to do at any time my body sometimes won't follow it. I'm so tired sometimes that I can barely stick on some of my daily goals... but I try every time!
When I cannot afford my goals y keep forgiving myself in order to not get discouraged or depressed but you know, sometimes we are our worst enemy.
I have to be very proactive mental and physically every day, every week, every month and every year. Procastinating is not an option to me, I try and solve all the issues or tasks that may come up to me as soon as possible in order to be free early.

Trato de respetar mis horarios y objetivos diarios. Para aprender música has de ser persistente.
Sin embargo soy humano y aunque mi mente dice lo que hay que hacer en cada momento, mi cuerpo a veces no la sigue. En ocasiones llego tan cansado que apenas puedo cumplir algunos de mis objetivos diarios... pero ¡siempre lo intento!
Cuando por cualquier razón no puedo conseguir mis metas trato de perdonarme a mí mismo para no desalentarme o deprimirme, pero ya sabéis, muchas veces nosotros somos nuestro peor enemigo.
Tengo que ser muy proactivo mental y físicamente cada día, cada semana, cada mes y cada año. Procastinar no es una opción para mí, trato siempre de resolver los problemas que puedan aparecer sobre la marcha y lo antes posible para quedarme libre.

And now What?, did you reach your dreams? || Y ahora ¿qué?, ¿alcanzaste tus sueños?

I've been following this path for more than 5 years now and going for the 6th.
I don't think I can call myself a musician yet. I can't play drums, piano or deal with the software as I think I should so I keep telling myself that I haven't reached that point where I want to be.
Sometimes I think I'm never getting it done... it's frustrating most of the times when you see that you're still so clumsy at all that stuff, what it's worst, you see you're spending the big part of your time on something (my job) that is not related with my dream. However my job allows me to have the money to sometimes buy some stuff for drums or software...

He seguido este camino durante más de 5 años y voy camino del sexto.
No creo que aún pueda llamarme músico. Aún no toco la batería, el piano o controlo el software como yo pienso que debería de modo que me digo a mí mismo que aún no he llegado al punto en el que quiero estar.
A veces pienso que nunca lo lograré... es muy frustrante la mayoría de las veces cuando ves lo torpe que aún eres en todo eso, lo que es peor, ves cómo usas la mayor parte de tu tiempo en algo (mi trabajo) que no está en absoluto relacionado con mi sueño. Sin embargo mi trabajo me permite tener dinero para, algunas veces, comprar cosas para la batería o software...

Conclusion

Due to the fact that I've spent 5 years struggling but I didn't get as close to my dream as I wished I wonder if it's worth the effort. I'm not a young man anymore, I'm in my fifties and time is a precious jewel that must be used wisely.
Sometimes I wonder what if I give up my job to try and dedicate my whole time to fight on my dream? Ha! , not easy stuff, not even thinking wisely lol
I always answer the previous question the same way: first things first, you first get your bread then the rest...

Dado el hecho de mis más de 5 años empleados esforzándome sin conseguir estar tan cerca de mi sueño como desearía, me pregunto si merece la pena el esfuerzo. Ya no soy un jovencito, estoy en mis cincuenta así que el tiempo es una joya y debo usarlo de forma inteligente.
A veces me pregunto: ¿y si dejo mi trabajo y dedico todo el tiempo disponible a luchar por mi sueño? ¡Ja! No es cosa fácil ni siquiera pensándolo sabiamente lol
Siempre respondo a la anterior pregunta de la misma manera: primero es lo primero y primero es conseguir el pan, después viene el resto...

Maybe you're on a similar position and you're also struggling with a lot of difficulties that arise when following the path to your dream. If that's the case I won't tell you what's the best option, I won't tell you to leave your job and follow your ideal exclusively. I will tell you that I'm still fighting hard (even harder) after 5 years and my dream keeps intact.
I'm not sure I will get it but I'm sure I'm trying. When my time comes finally to leave this world I will be able to say: "I followed my dream" my way with all the circumstances sorrounding my life.
I will tell you : keep strong if you believe and love your idea(dream) so fight hard!

Quizá tú estés en una situación parecida luchando contra un montón de dificultades que aparecen al tratar de conseguir tu sueño. Si éste es el caso no te diré cuál es la mejor opción, no te diré que dejes tu trabajo para dedicarte exclusivamente a seguir tu ideal. Te diré que yo sigo luchando duro (ahora más aún) después de 5 años y que mi sueño sigue siendo el mismo.
No puedo estar seguro de conseguirlo pero estoy seguro de seguir intentándolo. Cuando al fín llegue mi momento de dejar este mundo podré decir: “seguí mi sueño” a mi manera a pesar de todas las circunstancias que rodean mi vida.
Te diré: mantente fuerte si crees y amas tu idea (sueño) así que ¡lucha duro!.
