😈Monday Madness😇 - A MOM & Michael Jackson

Family are those people in your life that accept you for who you are. They don't make you do anything you don't want to do, and, they try really hard not to judge what you choose to do. One thing I've been meaning to do for awhile, is find a good way to honor those that show up for our weekly 'cooldowns' known as 'Family Time'. A way to say, "Thank you for hanging out with us!" Because, we really do appreciate your time.

Mother Mary

The weekly gathering started off with just two people. Two people that are getting closer as time goes on - despite the language barrier. @marybellrg and @enginewitty. They giggled about the translator in the server and made some punny jokes before moving on to the extended family. Mary cares deeply for her son (@gabrielserra) and recently just brought him to Hive. I absolutely love it when family members are more than just a Facebook like and actually participate in your growth and here on Hive? It's all the more rewarding to help each other and share with one another.

Covid Crap

As we chatted and giggled, @saffisara and @chris-uk popped in to join the conversation. We hadn't heard from Chris in a while so we had to ask what it's been like over there. The first thing he said is they are back in lockdown so we feel for him and @c0ff33a (who showed up later in the evening). Their progress issuing vaccinations hasn't gone as well as in other countries. Some that are really bad are like where @crisangel and @latino.romano live down there in Venezuela with @marybellrg.

We are fortunate here in the United States to have things and I think people often overlook just how privileged we really are. We have an abundance of food, power, internet (wi-fi) is pretty much everywhere and there is no shortage of clean water or medical supplies. Even in Sweden, where @saffisara is, her parents were lucky to get vaccinated. So, please keep that in mind the next time you scrape your plate in the trash or toss that half of an apple out of the window driving your vehicle.

The King of Pop

Now, I have no idea how we got on the topic. We were just trying to convince Mary to play Splinterlands. Oh ya! Somebody mentioned being tired and it was raining in a few locations. Chris, and @brisby agreed, that listening to the sounds of thunderstorms puts them to sleep easily. We all shared what we listened to, to help us rest better, and Briz said she used to like to jam out to death metal while slaying squirrels as a kid. Ha! Just kidding. But that got us on 80's music and Witty's fixation on Michael Jackson. That about wraps up our winding down for the week. Thanks for popping in everyone!
