Good ol' Wild Bill. Did you know he was quite the circus performer with Buffalo Bill before going all paranoid after the Civil War? His rare duel with Davis on this day over 150 years ago, is what brought about the popular stereotypical image we have today of the 'showdown at high noon' cowboys. He is probably most famous for not finding a seat with his back to the wall to absolve him of his rightful nervousness. He ended up being shot, in the back of the head, at a card game, holding 2 pair - black 8's and black Aces which now is known as - the Dead Man's Hand.

So that's a Deadman's hand.
I wonder what the fair ladies of Deadwood thought of Bill?
What a lousy way to go for a Western legend.
Fully agree. At such a young age, surely more could have come from his exploits and adventures.
That was some cool info that I didn't know about that game.
Deadmans hand. And also about wild Bill π awful way to die with a bullet in the back of his head.. That shooter is a chicken... Face your enemi π
