What A Day At Australian Open!

Today I was lucky to see some sets from two tennis matches. Lucky me as it doesn't happen often. The problem is there are so many good players playing in one day that it's basically impossible to watch them all. I'm lucky to catch some sets here and there.

The first match I saw (partly) was between the Spanish Roberto Bautista Agut and the Croatian Marin Čilić. Bautista I've seen plating but had no idea who Marin Čilić is and didn't have a favorite to be honest. I thought I just watch the match and we'll see who's going to win my attention and admiration.

It was a good match, both players had very good moments but Marin Čilić was much more better than Bautista. I have no idea what's happened to Bautista but he lost the third set to 6 - 0. I'm glad Čilić won, honestly.

Next was John Millman vs Roger Federer. I thought it's going to be easy but it wasn't. Federer lost the first set. I don't know what's happened as I started watching from the middle of the second set but all I can say Millman was good. He made Federer work for the victory till the last minute. It wasn't sure who is going to win. I was stressed out the whole time he will lose.

Imagine Federer's wife. Poor woman was sitting there watching the match, covering her face from time to time due stress. I bet she was saying prayers.

It was a very long match, took more than four hours, at the end both players were tired but none of them had a choice, they had to play. And this is when experience means a lot, Federer could concentrate much more better and he won.

Serena Williams wasn't so lucky, she lost against the Chinese Wang Qiang. Naomi Osaka was also eliminated by Coco Gauff. I don't feel sorry for either of them to be honest as I don't know Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams we all know is not in the best shape.

I feel sorry for Stefanos Tsitsipas, as he was been beaten by the Canadian Milos Raonic. I would have loved to see Tsitsipas playing against the big guys in the semifinals but I guess that's not going to happen.

Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow will be even more interesting. Federer is going to play against the Hungarian Márton Fucsovics. This should be an easy win. Nadal will meed his compatriot, Pablo Carreño Busta and he should win. Djokovic is playing against Diego Schwartzman on Sunday. He should also win, can't imagine him not to. Simona Halep is playing tomorrow against Yulia Putintseva. She should also win.

I'm not sure what can I see tomorrow but hoping to watch some of the matches. These are just a few players I know and follow but there are others who I don't know.
