How To Win

I am looking for a fictional story set in the future that explains "Why Mankind Left Earth".

Check the full prompt under the original contest post - entries accepted until the end of the day EST on Sunday 15 September.

I am looking for a story set in a future where mankind has left earth, that in some way includes a reason why they left. Not all of mankind needs to have left earth, it could be a whole species migration, or a small group that strike out, or anything in between. How many people have left earth and where they go/have gone is up to you. The story and setting you chose is fairly up for interpretation, but you don't need to directly address why in the body of your story and the prompt could be met with a single sentence that explains what motivated them, as long as there is a reason in there somewhere. Having left doesn't have to rule out return visits, basically, you are welcome to maneuver your way around the prompt in any way that works for you, and you know I love creative prompt fulfillment! Happy to answer any questions anyone might have on the prompt, make sure to check out the full details and rules under original contest post!
