What is Community Charge? An introduction to @communitycharge a free public mobile device charging service.

What is Community Charge?
Community Charge is a project trying to bring free mobile device charging locker stations to the public.

What will these charging stations offer?
Each station will offer multiple charging lockers. Each locker will provide 3 different cables, USB, USB-C, and a lightning cable, providing power to 98% of all mobile devices. All users will be able to charge their device free of charge.

Who can use these charging stations?
Anyone.

How will charging be free?
Power, charging stations, maintenance, development, and other overhead will be paid for by leasing ad space on the stations and app (if applicable), ad space on station monitors (if applicable), donations, delegations, crowdfunding, and token sales. We will also offer sponsorship space to venue/business owners and municipalities willing to provide power and a location for a charging station.

Are charging lockers secure?
Depending on the station type, lockers will be secured with either a personalized pincode, app login, or thumb scan. Each station will also be monitored by security camera(s).

Will my data be secure?
All devices and data are secure. Data that is collected for sign up and verification purposes is not shared with 3rd parties unless you opt in to do so.

How long can someone use a charging locker?
At first, until charged and picked up. We will have time limit on lockers, most likely around 48 to 72 hours. Afterward all phones will be taken and will need to picked up or mailed out to the device owner after confirmation of ownership/account verification.

A charging limit may be put into place later where only "x amount of charging time" will be provided and users will be able to extend with tokens. Lockers will stay locked and secured until device is picked up by users.

Where will the charging stations be located?
Shopping and dining outlets, malls, libraries, parks, events, and other public places where people are in need of a power up.

How will the charging stations be powered?
Solar is preferred as well as local business sponsorship (a business or venue donates power), paying as we go with the local utility company or business/venue owner, and municipal donation (local government donates power).

Community Charge Tokens

What will tokens be used for?
Hodlers will be able to use tokens on longer charging times, ad space, premium charging lockers (hodler only lockers), as well as other possible services and upgrades.

Will people be able to earn tokens?
People will be able to earn tokens by delegating to @communitycharge, future bounties, donation a power supply, giveaways, and contests.
