Chophouse Restaurant

Finding a good value steak house locally isn't that easy. When a friend recommended the Chophouse Restaurant I decided to give it a try. It's quite near me and the outside is very un-steak house , if you know what I mean.

It's been a while since I've seen such a green decor inside a restaurant, and if I didn't know I would have thought this was a family fun restaurant. It was very relaxing. There were only a few tables downstairs where we sat, and I didn't go upstairs so don't know what it was like. My guess the floor area is the same.

There was a good selection of steaks on the menu, and a lot of them came in two size cuts. That is great especially for me and my wife as I like larger portion steaks and she has a small appetite.

All best value meals are the set dinners. For a little extra money you get a soft drink, and a soup and a slice of garlic bread. And if you want, a little bit more money will get you a dessert as well. I think most people go for one of those options. We went for the drink and soup combo and I have to say the garlic bread is one of the best I've had in a while.

I came to Chophouse a while ago and I can't remember exactly which cut we each ordered. Based on our preference it could have probably been a fillet and a sirloin. We both like our steak medium rare and its always like a gamble when I cut open the steak. Will it be too well done? Or will it be totally rare inside because they were afraid of over cooking it. Luckliy this was just right.Good on them!

Pretty sure I will be back again.
