Local Mamak Way of Lunch

Again, having some problem with what to eat for my lunch, I decided to go for this mamak style lunch. In our typical mamak restaurant, they serve all kinds of rotis (bread) and also goreng goreng (like fried noodles, soups, rice, etc.). During afternoon, they also have this nasi kandar way of serving whereby they have different dishes pre-cooked like how economical rice are sold. In this setting, I usually will go for a vege and a chicken (careful not to get other than chicken meat as it may cost a lot and no standard cost). Then, I will flood my rice with curry which was a heaven when the curry was just at the rice spiciness and fragrance. For this mamak stall, I enjoyed their fried chicken which was well cooked and have the right crispiness and not that oily too.

Similar like other mamak, you can take the dishes and eat first before they come over and write you a paper with the payment to make later on. This is another specialty of mamak stall where they really trust the customer on what they take and eat. A unique culture for mamak stall and that's how Malaysia culture works.
