Pot Belly Curry


Pot Belly Curry is very popular dish in the locality of Bangladesh. It’s popular among all classes of people. Some may dislike this food due to it is from belly of cow or ox. It’s famous among those who loves to eat this tasty food. This food is spicy and yummy. This food is formed in different form like curry, vuna and fry. All forms are tasty and yummy.

My Experience


People like to have this pot belly curry with rice or parata. But i love with parata. Couple of weeks back, while travelling in town to visit doctor, i found this yummy pot belly curry at a restaurant named Khaja Ajmir Hotel & Birani House. This food is available in evening and night. I ordered a plate and two parata. It was so tasty and good experience.

It was very nice feeling to take another pieces of parata. Previously I have tasted this food in another restaurant but in evening this one was very delicious and yummy.

Recipe and Ingredients


As far I know and talked with them-
Ingredients:

  • Grow (Pot Belly)
  • Oil
  • Onion
  • Ginger/garlic
  • Hot spice
  • Turmeric powder
  • Chili powder
  • Cumin powder
  • Peppermint
  • Tomatoes
  • Water
  • Salt

Brief Recipe:

When the oil is heated in a pan, adding the onion, ginger and garlic with a little water and give it all the spices with a little water. When the masala is cooked, boiling it for 2-3 minutes. The stove has to be moderate then. When the water is dry then its ok.

Its located in the entrance of Chittagong city and making specially evening and night dishes. Crowded in evening for its evening dishes. Its popular here in Chittagong.

Drawbacks of the Restaurant

  • Environment is not so good.
  • Not as much as hygiene.

Price


You don't need to pay a lot for this delicious food. Per plate pot belly curry costs 1 USD and per parata is 10 cents. So totally 1.3 USD. Nice deal.
