CHINESE VEGETARIAN CUISINE @ VEGE STATION 新山素食小栈

Hello dear Steemians,

Does being Vegetarian help animals? Animals have rights to live before nature death, not being kill for food. The way a vegetarian saves animals by reducing the demand for meats and prevent animal abuse, protect the planet and environment friendly.

Last week, I went to a lovely vegetarian restaurant for lunch. The external look of restaurant is very clean and tidy.

The restaurant name is Vege Station 素食小栈 which’s located at Johor Jaya, Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

The interior environment is quite comfortable and spacious.

We reached there about 11:30am which’s not yet lunch hours. We chose a better seat at corner. While waiting our ordering dishes, we enjoyed reading the books quietly.

Let’s see their menu and food introduction. They are selling Chinese and local vegetarian cuisine.

There variety of soup choices such as Veg.Bak Kut Tea, Bitter Gourd Soup, Veg Shark Fin Soup, Bamboo Fungus Soup, Bayam Soup, Seaweed Soup, and Tomyam Soup.

The special recommendation such as Indonesia style Stir Fried Tempeh and Lady Fingers, Milk Cream Pumpkin, Vege Trotter in Sweet Vinegar with Ginger.
Let’s see what vegetarian meals we ordered:

My 1st order was Dried Chili Lion’s Mane Mushroom with rice 宫保猴头菇饭 with cost RM9.80. The added green peppers, carrots, black fungus, gingers enhance the taste of the Fried Lion’s Mane Mushrooms.

The dried chili is not spicy at all yet very appetising, good to have with plain rice.

Second order was Taiwanese Braised Meat Rice 台湾卤味饭with cost RM7.50. The braised meat was made from special made black soya sauce tofu with dried mushrooms. If you are full vegan, can cancel the added braised egg.

I like the taste of halogen. It is very yummy to eat together with plain rice.

Next order was Claypot Pumpkin Pan Mee Soup 砂煲金瓜板面汤 with cost RM6.50.

The Pumpkin Pan Mee portion was too big for me. I felt the added ingredient are too little such as mushroom, cabbage, and Taupok. Overall, the taste is so so only.

These were refreshing my mind while enjoyed vegetarian meals. Our carrot and orange juice with cost RM6.50 each.
