#sublimesunday Road Art

(Edited)

Driving through a farm town, two objects in the middle of the fields caught my eye.

Road art, in its simpliest meaning, is art work placed beside a road.

I stopped to take these photos so I can share them with you.

I could only take shots from a distance because there was a deep ditch in between the road and the fields. How I wish I had a camera to zoom in and see better details on these road art objects.

Two Road Art for Travelers' Appreciation.

Zooming in with my camera phone, the first one is a sculpture of a youth reading a book.

The other one is a metal sculpture of an archer.

Driving this county road yesterday was in itself a source of pleasure.

There is joy of being "on the road" that comes from the road itself and the road environment.

Road art certainly made a simple drive a more memorable experience for me.

#sublimesunday is the brainchild of @c0ff33.

Here's a wild looking piece of road art as I stopped by my friends place. Brings a chuckle on a fine Sunday.

Definitely a road art sis @kerrislravenhill! You are First to comment on this article, and I appreciate you. BTW, as I informed @vgholdingsllc, I have a special drawing for those who comment first and a separate one for the first in 24 hours. If you get picked, what silver would you want?

A round with Batman? maybe one with the Scooby do's 'Mystery Machine' since this picture reminds me of it. Choices, choices, choices.

Road art! That is the perfect name for it. I love to stumble upon creations like this!

So I google "road art" because I didn't know what to call these, as it turned out these are Road Art. I also learned that there is a more expansive meaning to "road art" that includes the road, the road environment, and the landscape all of which form a work of road art. I appreciate you commenting on this article, my friend @melinda010100. BTW, you are included in the drawing for a silver coin or silver round/bar. I will draw a winner on Sep. 2! Good luck!

Well, at least 400 to 1000 ounces! (troy)
I'm not sure but she has a sizable STACK,
plus a big fistful of Benjamins, and a good
bit of GOLD. She's my model for Stacking
and a good model for LIFE. @silversaver888
is beautiful, thrifty, gorgeous, generous,
Lovely, Loving and KIND.

I have somewhat mimicked her pattern, and once
I reveal my next pictorial SS888 will be proud of me

😎

Not sure I could have done this w/o her inspiration!

WOW... excellent!!! I am on steemit mostly because I want to share my journey to save in precious metals (silver and gold). I am so glad to know that you like silver too!!! I believe that silver and gold are two of the best places to store value and a simple way to build savings and wealth. So I exchange a little fiat currency for precious metals silver and gold coins every month, and slowly accumulate real value that I can hold. There is a saying, if you don't hold it, you don't own it. Thanks for sharing that information, @melinda010100.

How do people safely store it in their homes? A lock box in a closet doesn't feel particularly safe to me.

The rule of the fight club applies to stacking, my friend! There are many YouTube videos that talk about securing your stack safely. Many store their stack in several secure locations, preferably where you can easily gain access to. Others store their stack at home in different areas of the house. It becomes challenging when you have a substantial stack.

I can imagine it would be challenging! I'm a long way from needing to worry about it yet. 😁 I will look at some videos though.

I wish I could have gone closer. I wonder which metal the artist used for this sculpture- cast iron? steel? wrought iron? Definitely not stainless steel, LOL! Have a sublime Sunday, my dear friend, @vgholdingsllc!

What cool roadside are and love the contrast of the yellow grass and deep blue sky
They are what are called complimentary colors ie almost opposite on the color wheel and when in a photo like this are generally very pleasing to a viewers eye

Is that what it is! No wonder the colors were so pleasing to the eye. I learned something new again!!! Thank you, my friend, @tattoodjay, for teaching me about photography by taking the time to include information in your comment.

I learnt a lot whenI got back into photography from other photographers online and in forums so I feel its the right thing to do to share what I know when I can :)

I have encountered numerous individuals who are very protective of the knowledge they have and are borderline selfish and will not share information. You are the total opposite, @tattoodjay.

Yes I have come across people like that myself, but that is just not the way I will ever be, nothing i know is a trade secret or something i came up with and besides if it was I would still share ;)

Not quite the road I'm used to but it's a nice country road.

Oh he’s reading a book, that’s obviously what he’s doing when you glance across at a man hunched over with his hands in his lap. The archer is really cool, well designed and in a great position.
