BAM!... THE SUN CAME BACK TODAY IN ALL IT'S BREATHE TAKING GRANDEUR

Happy Sunday to all my #steemit friends! This was a very unusual day here in Upstate NY. I was up at 4:30am, that is rare, my usual time is closer to 5:30am but since I was outside yesterday decorating my #homestead with Christmas lights and decorations, the cold and playing in the snow must have worn me out. I was asleep by 9pm. Hence my early rising this morning.

Today was the day I was determined to finish my Christmas shopping. There wasn't much to do, since most of what I needed was already in the bag. But as all us mommy and grand mommy's know there is always one more 'THING' we need to get.
With my list in hand, I drove the 12 miles needed to get to the stores that I knew would have what I wanted.

I live somewhat off the grid, yes we have a hardline phone, but we do not have cell phone service.

In order to keep in touch with my family, we facetime, it's weird to me that my kids can facetime me but yet not call me on my cell phone unless I am in the city, aka Norwich NY. I know it's that WIFI thing, we have great internet service, Netflix, HBO STARZ, through our phone company.
Pretty cool right?
Ok, all you young folks out there are scratching your heads, yeah I know, my adult children grew up with the internet, I was a radiologic technologist for over 35 years and grew up with technology, had to learn from the ground up. I started with computer technology when I was 40 y/o, we had in-service training just to learn how to log-on, in-put data and generate paper trails for everyone of our patients. Wow, you youngsters have no idea how challenging it was for us old folks. But I learned, and still do. All I can say, by the time I retired, I was proficient in medical imaging to the nth degree. I could perform diagnostic imaging in radiology ,nuclear medicine, cat scan technology and ultra sound scanning as well as mammography and operating room imaging in vascular procedures. I also was an ace with the orthopedic surgeons in the operating room.
So what has this all to do with #beautifulsunday and our host @ace108.

It's the tell, to leave our footprint in this awesome world called #steemit, it can't be erased. This is my blast into the future, It's my way of saying...technology is your future, everyone, no matter how old or young you are, embrace it, learn from it and make the best of it.

It is #sublimesunday because if you caught a goose bumpy Sunday like I did, you will realize , life is beautiful, never give up on learning new things.

Oh boy are you right. We has a snowstorm that last 4 days and then two more days of dark skies. That was the other reason I got out to go to town, change of scenery, then on the way back the sun came out and I got it in that picture. Sunny days, even if it's cold, I love it! Thanks for stopping by @njord

We need to continue to learn.
Even the phone has become only a camera that I use to send messages more than call someone for me.

I try to learn something new almost everyday, keeps you sharp. I love to read, enjoy maps and love to explore nature.
As far as the phone @ace108, it took some getting used to, the not having cell service. We retired from our jobs 3 years ago and moved from the suburbs of New Jersey, USA, which was a very metropolitan, very populated, with all the convivences, to our farm in Upstate NY , VERY rural. But we have 10 acres of beautiful property, to garden, grow trees and just be free.
Small town with few people, it's been a wonderful change.
Have a great day.
