Monday Musing all the Way

Hold fast to the break of day
Sun and shine stand in the way
In making this
A chilly reminder
Of reality

Every person's perspective is colored by their own experiences.

Perfectly beautiful isn't necessarily perfect and has nothing to do with accepting imperfection. Perhaps imperfection is the point.

We love the imperfect shapes in nature and in the works of art, look for an intentional error as a sign of the golden key and sincerity found in true mastery - Dejan Stojanovic

text16.png

Although I have nothing special about today, it was still a #beautifulsunday hosted by @ace108 and I would go as far as saying that it was a #sublimesunday by the meister of my #c0ff33a. I love coffee and he loved eclectic. A match made in heaven. And keeping that all in mind, please don't mind me as I muse a bit.

Le sigh. Where did somebody put my spring?

Not quite yet
Not quite yet
Come closer to me
I can nearly reach your thoughts
Dressed in shades of pure delight
I hit pause and wait, wait, wait.
I will wait for Spring

Some days, you just have to make your own sun shine, other days, you are the sunshine.

We have it so good.
We enjoy it so much.
We express it so little.
It can make your heart shine like the stars in the universe.
The most beautiful feeling in the world.

As always, there must be a flower. This flower is dedicated to #MondayRed by @Kalemandra who colors my world every single day.

Oh, there is so much beauty in color, but the most vibrant of all is the color of life.

image.png

And just like that, this post is over. From beginning to end, I'll do it again, probably tomorrow. Have an amazing day! Do something fabulous!

I want to take a moment to thank @Ace108 and @C0ff33a for hosting the tags #beautifulsunday and #sublimesunday. Join the tag and have some fun with it!

Have a great week ahead! 💖

Thank you for visiting my post 💖 Because of you, I come back to post, again and again, Some days, it is not as easy to see, how wonderful our world really is. Kindness counts. Wherever you go, whatever you do.

they set my aunts house on fire
i cried the way women on tv do
folding at the middle
like a five pound note.
i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?

i’ve been praying,
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty
the other is on fire
both need water.

later that night
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,

"everywhere"
"everywhere"
"everywhere"

It does make it all the more interesting, doesn't it? How dull this world would be if we were very much the same. I agree with you there.

Thank you so much for stopping by and smelling the flowers, leaving your words behind. Always a pleasure to see you!

Thank you so much, Erika! @erikah I think I miss spring more than I thought. Yes! winter is taking too long, but to be honest, we just had our first cold day yesterday! I was thinking we were going to skip winter altogether! ;)

No such luck! I wish a wonderful week ahead!

We have snow for like a week now, thank God it's not so cold, only -2°C at the moment of writing. I'm holding up just fine, no "had enough of winter" yet from my part yet, surprisingly.

Wishing you a wonderful week as well.

Apparently perfection is a bit overrated. Just think of the old days when music came on vinyl. We lived with the inherent hiss and pops. Then the perfect sound from CD's were invented...I loved it, but now many people prefer to go back to the perfect imperfections found in that vinyl sound.

Great shots and musings :)

You are exactly right, Perfection is totally overrated. I have to think that people go back to the vinyl for nostalgic reasons and not because they think that it is better oh, but it is something that gives them a warm feeling inside.

Of course, I could be totally wrong and the real reason could be because they have become too deaf to hear the difference because they had the volume so loud.

Whichever the case, I hung on to all of my vinyl and I play from time to time.

Thanks for stopping by and saying hello, leaving your words behind. Have a great week ahead!

It could be for nostalgic reasons. I think I have heard some make the argument that it sounds warmer on vinyl. I was glad to go to CDs and never looked back. I have seen @ninahaskin buys vinyl, maybe she will clue us in...

And here I mistook you for a nostalgic sort of guy. It goes to show you how wrong one can be about some things.

Now, of course you know I'm going to have to get my final out and listen to it. It never sounded Warm & Cozy to me but I may be just a dicted to the scratches. LOL

How did the tree end up doing the twist?

0

Haha! I think you might have, but, knew it would be Monday when I woke up. The tree is just standing there in the middle of nowhere. How odd. I would like to think it is a freak of nature, but, somehow, man has his hand in it.

Wouldn't you think?

Have a great day, Ace! Thanks for stopping by!

This post is just full of beauty; the words, the photos; everything perfectly relevant to your point that beauty does not demand perfection. What's imperfection to one is perfection to another.

Have a great day today and stay safe!

Thank you! I always walk away from your comments feeling better than I did going in. Don't read into that, it's meant as a compliment. And as I think about it oh, I have to wonder who in the world who elected anybody to Define what perfect is? I think everybody's sense of what is perfect is different and even if it wasn't, Perfection is simply overrated in my opinion. Thank you so much for stopping by dipping your words behind! I wish you a most wonderful week ahead!

Thank you! I still haven't decided if the tree was natural or conceived? I found it on one of the islands in the middle of nowhere so I have to believe that I grew that way and yet there's something so unnatural about it. I guess I shouldn't say that because it's unusual oh, but I have never seen a tree tree grow like that. Thank you for stopping by and I wish you a most wonderful week.

That's really a cool back story on that photo. It just felt like it was bent with the force hahaha. It's actually my first time to see a tree grow like that, the trunk resembles a snake. Most of our trees here in our Country grow straight. May you have a wonderful week too!

What a great post

Every person's perspective is colored by their own experiences.
that is such a great saying and one more people should accept, it is interesting how so many love the imperfections in Nature but do not like or accept them in Humans,
I am not like that I feel the world would be very boring if we were all the same

I agreed that the world would be such a boring place if we were all the same but I always have plundered who is is that defines what perfect is? Here it is Monday morning again and time to start it all over again! I do believe that you are telecommuting a few days this week. Might I tell you how lucky you are? Baby It's Cold Outside!

Yes! Perspective is everything.

Just think of the day when you have to make a decision to work from home or go into the city. Yes! It makes me envious enough to turn in my resignation and live the life! I hope it gets warmer tomorrow!

I think you are exactly right! And I am not sure who defines perfect anyway oh, you know what I mean? I think there is beauty in all that we see and I'm not sure I have heard to find anything as perfect or imperfect, but I'd like to think that I don't because to me, perfection, as defined, is totally overrated. I hope that this week finds you doing well and that all is wonderful in your world.

Stay blessed, my friend!

It's interesting that you speak of perfect shapes and such today. Just this weekend I was discussing with others imperfectly shaped vegetables, and that I like to pick them up from farmers markets when I can.

A perfect circle does not exist in nature. And that palm tree has enough waves in it to get a surfer excited. I dont' see why my carrot can't have two stems. :)

Exactly!!! What is up with people!?? I pick up oddball things from Farmers Markets too. Especially if they look like someone I might know. Of course, then, I hate to eat it.

And that palm tree has enough waves in it to get a surfer excited.

I know~!! Right? I wish you could have seen me driving by that thing, which was in the middle of nowhere. I had to turn my car around and park in front of it because I couldn't believe it was natural, but, that man had his hand in there somewhere. Wouldn't it be cool if Mother Nature tried her hand on it?

Your carrot had two stems on it? LOL Stop playing with your food and eat it. And now, do you count that as one carrot or two when they ask for so many carrots?

Have a great week ahead, Victor! Stay warm. We had that wind howling yesterday!

A lot of content for both reflection, as well as inspiration, in your post this morning (here) @dswigle. Loved the pictures you have chosen to illustrate the points you have made - from the "corkscrew" palm tree to the spectacular flowers.

Thank you for writing "from the heart" and sharing with us. Have great day (night?)!

Thank you so much for your delightful comment! The corkscrew tree really have me doing a double-take and I even turned my car around to go back and look. It looks like mother nature did not have a hand in this but man did, however it is in the middle of nowhere so that kind of confused my brain. I'd love to thank that this did it all by itself.

As for me, I am on Eastern Standard Time so yes it is during the day. I want to thank you for stopping by and say something about leaving your words behind.

Happy to do it @dswigle and your response is very kind. Thanks for letting me know you are in the East. I am in the West (of our great country) ... 😉

Sounds like we may share a similar view of trees, as I have always loved them.

"It looks like mother nature did not have a hand in this but man did, however it is in the middle of nowhere so that kind of confused my brain. I'd love to thank that this did it all by itself."

I like to think God has a sense of humor, as well as compassion, so these "special" trees really stand out.

Brings to mind a fond memory from my childhood. We had this remarkable tree in our orchard that grew up out of the ground only a couple of feet and then sideways from there for 8 to 10 feet! Our family loved to sit on it (it was quite a "heavy duty" tree, so could support us all), in the shade of its leafy branches, and look out from there and talk about whatever was on our minds ... 😊

Thanks for inspiring the memory!
