Account Creator
It is now possible to claim new accounts by paying the account_creation_fee in STEEM (currently 3 STEEM). The paid STEEM will be burned (sent to @null) immediately.
I moved the payment method to the claim form, so that it is possible to claim accounts using STEEM without the need of creating them at the same time. The pending claimed accounts are now being displayed in the actual creation section below, which makes the whole process a bit easier to understand:
When clicking on the Claim Account button, there will pop up a confirmation dialog:
After claiming an account, the pending claimed accounts will be increased by one and it can then be used to create a new Steem account at any time.
SBD Conversions
As we know, SBD to STEEM conversions take 3.5 days to finish and after starting the process it has always been a bit confusing not to be able to see the progress of running conversions. For that reason I added a new overview in the Orderssection:
Preparations for today's coming api.steemit.com update
As some of you may know, there is an important update coming today (2018-12-07 / 23:00 UTC), which will enable routing many common API requests to the new Hivemind services.
I tested SteemWorld with Hivemind through the recent days and made a few changes to my code to ensure that all features will continue to work. Keep in mind that Hivemind is still in alpha state and there might happen unexpected things in the coming days.
As soon as all public endpoints have been updated to use Hivemind, there will no longer be a limit of 100 posts in the posts overview on SteemWorld.
There are exciting times ahead ;)

Steemworld.org is the best app on Steem blockchain. I use is every time to get information about my account and other steem related activities.

Keep up the great work! Is there any way to keep track of the medium price of STEEM being used for the conversion in progress? Would be a great addition for those of us that become anxious waiting to see the result. Also, maybe a calculator that demonstrates the profitability of the conversion based on the median price of STEEM from the prior 3.5 days? Just thoughts of tools that would be great! Thanks!
That's a good question. I will take a look into the Steem source in the coming days. I guess it just depends on the median price at execution time (exactly after 3.5 days).

As a “contrarian,” I have significantly increased my Steem stake over the last few weeks. Even as this is written (the lowest overall market since I began to invest into this asset class in Aug 2017), looks like there will be plenty of opportunity for more “contrarian” transactions, if anyone is so inclined …
Tried this feature of our Steem blockchain recently and anything you can do to help “the masses” (like me … 😉) will be much appreciated. Probably shouldn’t go as far as recommending when or when not to use the feature, as you most likely want no part of giving anyone “financial advice” that could come back to trouble you. However, anything you can do to help us make well-informed decisions would be great.
No … I don’t have any ideas on precisely how to do that, but thought I would at least “plant the seed” in the event you or others might.
Keep up the great work @steemchiller. Hopefully the teams at the core of keeping the blockchain running will not stumble in the face of the recent hardships. And we’ll all “survive” to see a better tomorrow!

Really nice to see you staying on top of all the steemit api change stuff. I am not a programmer but it is evident you will not be caught behind the power curve of lack of testing. It is nice to read that you have been testing the hivemind system, and that you are letting us know that there may be small glitches in the system till it all gets settled out. Das kann nur jemand fragen, der den @Steemchiller nicht kennt. Der Zeitungen austrägt, wenn es sein muss. Wer jetzt jammert, ist zu weich für den Steem! Sag an, Chiller, kommt das noch auf Deutsch, oder soll der Update–Teil mal schnell übersetzt werden? Mit DeepL geht das doch ganz flott.
Vorschlag
Ganz besonders interessiert bin ich ja an dem Update–Teil der ganzen Serie. Aus nicht ganz uneigennützigem Interesse. Das ist doch faktisch die Beschreibung der gesamten Steemworld und gut für eine komplette Hilfe–Doku. Deutsch und Englisch. Das würde ich für die Steemworld tun. PoW statt Delegation. Ich täte das zusammen stellen, kategorisieren und dir zur Veröffentlichung übergeben. Dann dübelst du es auf den Steem, kassierst die Rewards und ich werde es anschließend im Wiki zu einer einzigen Steemworld–Hilfe kompilieren.
Was meinst du? Die Rewards für dich, den Content fürs Wiki und du baust irgendwann sowieso einen Link zur Hilfe in der Steemworld ein. Deal Chiller?

Vielleicht willst du dann einen SteemWiki–Autoren Account haben. Mit dem kannst du deine Steemworld–Hilfe künftig, nach der Veröffentlichung des Weekly Supports, selbst updaten. Deal? Darf ich mit den alten Weekly Supports eine Hilfe in Englisch bauen? So zur Anschauung, wie es wirkt…

Ich danke dir @afrog, aber das hört sich nach zusätzlicher Arbeit an und davon habe ich bereits mehr als genug. Eine Hilfe-Seite hatte ich auch schon mal angedacht, aber wo ich noch im Aufbau bin und sich Struktur und Layout des Tools noch stark ändern können, halte ich das noch nicht für sinnvoll. Ich werde später wahrscheinlich etwas interaktives direkt im Tool einbauen, vielleicht ein
?Button, über den man dann per Klick zu einzelnen Elementen eine kurze Hilfe angezeigt bekommt. Große Texte lesen die Leute sowieso nicht.Aber du kannst gerne meine Inhalte in deinem Portal nutzen, wenn du neben der Entwicklung deines Riesenprojekts noch Zeit dafür haben solltest. Wie gesagt, es kann sich alles noch ändern und empfehlen würde ich es zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt nicht unbedingt.
Du weißt ja, ich bin ein Einzelgänger und daran wird sich nichts ändern ;)

ich weiß nicht ob es wirklich erwünscht ist, aber ich hätte vorschläge welche ich als äusserst praktisch empfinden würde,
ich vermisse einen counter für die replies.
übrigens ist mir da eine kleine diskrepanz zwischen steemworld und steemitboard aufgefallen. beim board bekam ich den award für 8000 upvotes, während steemworld bei 7996 votes war.
was noch wirklich eine tolle verbesserung wäre, ist ein tageszähler bei den account operations. sodass man mit einem klick die eingehenden/ausgehenden votes, kommentare ecc. schnell erfassen kann.
nix wirklich weltbewegend wichtiges, aber vllt. eine anregung falls dir mal sonst nix neues einfallen sollte.

Mein Server zählt die eigentlich auch schon und gibt sie an die SteemWorld zurück, aber sie werden noch nicht angezeigt. Könnte ich wirklich mal aktivieren...
Dann muss ich dir leider berichten, dass du noch nicht 8000 erreicht hattest, denn mein Count stimmt mit ziemlicher Sicherheit :) Hast du mal jemanden gevotet und danach zurückgezogen (nochmal mit 0% gevotet)? Die werden bei mir nicht gezählt (wieder abgezogen), daher wahrscheinlich der Unterschied.
Klingt gut, ich denke da an Gruppen die per Klick dann gleich den Filter umstellen. Ich kann mir nur gerade nicht vorstellen, wo das angezeigt werden könnte. In der Titel-Leiste wäre glaube ich too much. Müsste man sich mal überlegen, aber die Idee gefällt mir.

wo du was plazierst, ja da kann i wohl nicht mitreden. ich kann dir nur vorschlagen was ich bisher vermisst habe. wo du dann was plazierst kannst ja nur du entscheiden. aber so ein aufklappmenü (heißt das hamburger-menu?) in der titelleiste von acc-operations wäre wohl nicht so unpraktisch.
wirst das schon machen, sodass es in dein gesamtkonzept passt :)

ps weil es mir gerade einfällt, farbige styles wären auch ein hit. default mag ich ja gar nicht. dark ist super, aber so zur abwechslung mal was rotes oder grünes?
hattest du nicht auch einen editor angedacht vor einigen wochen? dafür würde ich gerne prozente abtreten, jedenfalls wenn das wirklich praktischer und übersichtlicher wird als busy und steempeak derzeit. oder jedenfalls auf gleicher höhe (busy vor steempeak, tabelle ausgenommen)
Jo, steht auch immer noch auf der Liste, aber Prioritäten haben sich geändert. Auf jeden Fall die Farben der einzelnen Elemente, Schriftart und Schriftgröße sollen frei einstellbar sein (per RGB Slider). So kann sich dann jeder ein eigenes Layout basteln und vielleicht gibt es dann eine 'SteemWorld Layout Challenge', womit ich die besten Themes dann mit in den Standard übernehmen würde.
btw: Habe die Anzeige der
repliesmal testweise aktiviert ;)fein, fein :)
aber auch hier wird etwas anders gezählt als beim steemitboard.
das wird ja immer perfekter :)

Wow, das ist echt mal ein krasser Unterschied :) Man könnte meinen, ich zähle nicht jeden Kommentar, aber das ist nicht der Fall. Vermutlich zählt steemitboard alle Kommentare, die in deinem Blog erfasst wurden, also auch die, die nicht direkt an dich gingen.
SteemWorld zählt nur die tatsächlichen Antworten auf eigene Posts und Kommentare ;) Die Bezeichnung des 'Replies' Tabs in der Post-Übersicht sollte ich vielleicht überdenken und in 'Comments' oder so ändern...

Wieder einmal hast du uns mit tollen Neuerungen beschenkt, wofür ich mich herzlich bedanke! Ich habe noch nie ein Tool gesehen, das so übersichtlich und zugleich funktional ist wie dein steemworld! Wenn man bedenkt, dass steemit.inc einst riesige Finanzmittel zu Verfügung hatte, während du mehr oder weniger in deiner Freizeit programmierst, wächst mein Respekt und mein Erstaunen vor deiner Leistung in den Himmel!

Hi steemchiller, not sure if it is my computer or if a glitch from the steemit API move and things but the time stamp seems to be off, a lot. it always showed the correct time for me in Alaska, but today, not so right. Here is an image from about 4 minutes ago:

I know steemit is moving bits and pieces around, so this may just be a part of that, but thought you should know. Real time for that steembounty vote should have been in the 10:00AM hour.
I guess it is something with your local configuration. Some people had similar issues in the past months and it always was related to local system settings or newly installed taskbar applets.
Can you please visit http://www.timebie.com/std/utc.php and tell me if your local time (shown in the right) is correct? There should be a box with 'Universal Time' at the top and a second one with your local time below that.
Yes both times are right. Okay, I'll try to find some settings that may have been altered by google or chrome or windows. I don't really use applets or very many add ons Acrobat and avast are about it. Thanks for the help, I'll get used to if I can't figure it out or wait for the next mystery update to fix it.
O-kay a definite chrome thing, it works fine in firefox, so I guess I become a dual browser user.

Hi, great app and fast considering the amount of data on a page.
Hope you don't mind me mentioning a price discrepancy I noticed today. If you open up a Vote and look at the Weight and the Post Payout, the relationships between the $-values and STEEM are different; the Weight shows the correct exchange rate of about 40 cents but the Post Payout is showing many different exchange rates.
Related to Hivemind, perhaps? Cumulative rounding errors from small upvotes?

The USD amount for the Post Payout is the net amount (without curation and the burned percentage). Maybe it would be better to show the gross amount also for the Post Payout in there.

One thing, without needing to change code, for the moment could just edit the legend to Author Payout.
As the Curation amount is just above it, for me would be useful to glance at the gross Post Rewards, but not to worry - now I know!

For instance, when you use the "simulate SP" button, would it be possible to show how much RC you would have at that level? I often wonder about how many posts I would be able to do if I had an extra 1,000 SP, or how many votes I could make, or accounts I could create, etc.

Would it be possible to make the columns on the conversions page sortable? SteemWorld sensibly uses incremented Request IDs so conversions that you generate are well-organized when sorted by them, but Beem assigns IDs randomly to its conversions and it would be nice to be able to see those sorted by time.
