SteemWorld News ~ Dark Theme, Transfer Search, Mention Preview, Missed Blocks Ratio & More...
Most of the features that I announced recently were successfully implemented on SteemWorld and I am now in the process of finishing the new dark theme. It was a bit more to do than I excepted earlier to create a 'theme base' that I can use for building additional themes from now on, but I have learned a few new things on my recent CSS3 journey and for me it is always a pleasure to discover new ways in the modern world of coding.

Dark Theme
This is how the new dark theme looks like:
A few changes might still come in the next days. The theme can be chosen in settings or directly by using the URL parameter 'theme':

CSS3 Variables (for developers)
Instead of defining the same layout properties again and again like:
.element1,
.element2 {
color: #fff;

.anotherElementWithSameTextColor {

In CSS3 one can define variables for elements that are using the same colors like:
:root {
--text-color-default: #fff;
}
.element1,
.element2 {
color: var(--text-color-default);
}
.anotherElementWithSameTextColor {
background: #111;
color: var(--text-color-default);
}
When working with Developer Tools in the browser for testing new CSS definitions one can then change all relevant properties in a central point with ease:
This makes it much easier to make changes to or building new themes based on an existing one. Since I can even change the variables at runtime in JavaScript, it would be possible to easily create a theme builder for SteemWorld in future...
Witnesses 'Produced / Missed Blocks' Ratio
I have added a counter for the produced blocks on my server and the results can now be seen for each witness in 'Tools -> Witnesses'. The number of total missed/produced blocks can be watched by moving the mouse over the percentage:
And the winner is...
@roelandp with only 24 missed and 774,269 produced blocks.
Congratulations!
There are not many witnesses with zero missed and more than 500 produced blocks and the one with the best ratio is @reggaemuffin. He has nearly 5,000 blocks produced.

Transfer Search
This feature enables us to find transfers, power-ups and power-downs that have taken place on the Steem Blockchain. It comes with a few filters and the possibility to sort the results by different fields in ascending or descending order.
Here an example for finding the largest transfers from this year and exporting it to CSV:
Delegation History / New Filters
The Delegation History now contains some new filters for the date range and the possibility to sort the results by different fields in ascending or descending order.
As in the Transfer Search one can now show the largest delegations easily by setting the order to 'Amount, Descending'.
Mention Preview
A click on the account name in the Mention Preview will bring us directly to the related comment/post.
Busy.org Now Supported
I am happy to announce that users of the awesome busy.org platform can now choose their favorite Steem front-end in the settings. All links to posts and comments will then automatically point to the chosen domain:

Pro Tip
A double click in an input field for a username automatically enters the name of your account into it. If the field already contains your name, it will get emptied again:
Just an idea...
While I was playing around with the new theme I came to the idea of displaying the account image in the inner circle of the VP-Element. I would need to move the percentage to a different location or make it much smaller, so that it does not overlap too much with the picture. I'm not sure, if I should do this. What do you think?

I am not an old user of steemit . My age is only 3 months on steemit..I know many new tools on steemit .. But when i was new , I use steemworld.org .. and get many feature .. But day by day developers in steemworld increase its facilities and implement new features for our steemit user.. Thanks all of developers... Specially thanks you @steemchiller

Das Dark-Theme finde ich super, es ist sehr angenehm.
Die Idee mit dem Account-Bild finde ich auch sehr gut, die Prozentanzeige würde sich eventuel als Skala im Kreisel ganz gut machen - glaube ich ;)

Ich habe ja nicht viel Ahnung vom Webseiten Zeugs aber ein dezenter Spende-Knopf müsste da doch auch noch Platz haben, oder?
Sollst ja schließlich auch finanziell was von deiner Arbeit haben. (meine Meinung)

I must admit having the account image in that space looks good provided the image also looks good. I would personally prefer the large format percentage in that space though. Greetings!

Cool the dark side of life - account image within the circle great idea - but not sure how it will look like - need to see. Would suggest to try and then wait for feedback (if it not that much of an effort).

Die Idee mit dem Bild gefällt mir definitiv, hab spontan aber keine Idee , wo und wie das platztechnisch umzusetzen ist. Eventuell neben dem Kreis und die Voting Values als Zeile drunter.
Besser wäre vielleicht die Voting Power Prozentangabe unten im Kreis, das würde mir eher gefallen.
Das aktuelle Voting Value findet ja in der Tabelle rechts irgendwie Platz.
Auf jeden Fall wäre steemworld damit deutlich individueller und hübscher. Auch wenns nur eine Spielerei ist, trotzdem schön.
Ich würde auch kein Account Bild integrieren, das bringt keine zusätzliche Funktionalität. Den Spenden-Button, wie von @condeas vorgeschlagen, würde ich an deiner Stelle integrieren! Der würde bestimmt oft benutzt werden. Du verdienst jede Unterstützung!!! Ansonsten, tolle Arbeit, wie immer!

I LOVE STEEMWORLD!! Best UI for Steem data.
I would like to request a slight fix. I have sent funds to @smartmarket which is Smartsteem by @therealwolf , and when a refund happens it is sent from the @smartsteem account. When you look at a post details on Steemworld, the transfered amount is not reflecting or catching the refunded amount since it comes from a different account. This is causing the amount to be far more in some cases since the refund is not subtracted.
That's the biggest problem with the transfers sum and there is in some cases no way to fix it, because there is no reference to the sent transaction. I will try to find a solution for Smartsteem, but I can't guarantee that it will work.
Ahh yeah, no tx id. Didn't think of that side. Most of the return txs are pretty close to the sent so not sure if a time proximity might work?

That's exactly how I currently do it. I will try to change it so that @smartsteem will be seen as @smartmarket. That could be the only change that is needed to get it working ;)

One more thing I have been thinking would be cool is to add the dead followers function into the followers tab. The ability to sort out followers by last active date.
If you add this you will have aggregated every page I have bookmarked that does just a single data function into your one kick ass UI.
Think a minor bug with the recent changes. The coming author rewards no longer shows the items within an hour or so of paying out. I have one in 45 minutes that shows elsewhere but not on steemworld. Just checked and shows the same from my phone browser as from my comp.

Hallo, auch ich möchte mich hiermit herzlichst bedanken. Steemworld ist für mich eine Notwendigkeit geworden. Alles auf einen Blick jetzt auch in Dark was will man mehr ? Das mit dem Bild ist eine Klasse Idee dann hat man auch die Avatare zu den gestalkten Accounts :)) das macht es sicher noch übersichtlicher!
Dank Steemworld ist mir überhaupt aufgefallen das mein Account zum voten missbraucht wird mir als Neuling wäre das ohne nicht aufgefallen. Ich bin mir sicher das für viele(bei mir jetzt so) Steemworld die Startseite ist bevor es ins Steemit rein geht.

A bunch of healthy improvements and updates! You are already on the track towards success. I want to point out one thing I noticed, in the recent posts your pending rewards are shown the same for the posts made either under 100% power up or 50% SBD+50% SP. In actual, the 100% power up should only show the amount of SP instead of both.
I liked your idea of placing the profile picture too. You need to adjust the percentage but don't make its size smaller.
Thanks! Yes, the pending rewards for 100% SP posts are indeed not being correctly calculated. Since it makes no sense to choose 100% as long as the SBD is higher than 1 USD, I didn't change it yet, but it's already on my todo list ;)

As always, awesome work and awesomerer updates! Since you asked--Yes. I think adding the image in the VP element. Perhaps the percentage could be displayed below the vote value. Could even follow the circle in an arc... or perhaps a thicker circle could allow for enough room to place it inline.

Hey. Thanks for your work on SteemWorld. Just popping in to offer my two cents on your profile picture idea, since you asked. It's clever, I suppose, but it doesn't have much utility in my opinion and I think it makes things too noisy.
You've done an awesome job of keeping this interface so clean. It's honestly a pleasure to use, and I can't say that about a lot of Steem tools.
In my opinion it'd be a shame to busy it up with profile pictures by default. Maybe as an option for people who want that feature?
EDIT: Thank you for the Dark theme. Seriously. So much nicer on the eyes. Now to wait for Busy to implement something similar...

impressive work on theme and other developments specially profile picture on vp inner circle.
Great work Steem Chiller!!! As always! I like the idea of the profile image in the VP-Element and think you should leave that element where it is but maybe move the % down to the bottom of the circle just above the $0.69 where your chin is in your example.
I also like the Witness section that shows the missed blocks along with the total blocks produced.
The Dark Theme is very sleek! I've already changed mine to Dark. The only suggestion I would make, though, is to perhaps change the link color from blue to maybe light orange (like the orange on the VP-Element towards the 0% mark) because the blue is difficult to see.
I also wanted to ask a question, if I may. If the Voting Value-Element were to show three decimals instead of two, would my voting value - as a "minnow" - still be $0.000, or would it maybe show $0.001 or $0.002? I know it's probably a very minor thing, but as a "minnow" it is sometimes frustrating to see that my upvote is worth nothing.

Vielen Dank für deine vielen 100%-igen @afrog! Ich habe jeden einzelnen davon mit Genuss aufgenommen und in meine Sammlung gepackt. Der im Text fließende Frosch da oben rechts ist genial. Wenn meine Einnahmen dafür reichen, werde ich ihm eines Tages eine größere Krone kaufen ;)
Vielleicht hat es mit mangelndem Vertrauen zu tun, aber von Steemit selbst habe ich noch nie einen Vote oder sonstige Unterstützung erhalten. Meine Delegation, die mir vor einem Jahr auf der Startseite als Geschenk beschrieben wurde und mich hier reingelockt hat, wurde ja auch vor Kurzem einfach so entfernt. Das ist nicht wirklich schlimm für mich, denn ich habe daraus etwas gelernt und werde es natürlich mitnehmen.
Der Code von SteemWorld ist nicht offen einsehbar und passt daher vielleicht nicht so richtig ins Geschäftsmodell. Eine Software 'Open Source' zu machen, macht sie allerdings nicht automatisch besser oder sicherer. Reine Utopie... Ich gehe weiter meinen Weg.
Die Idee mit dem Bitcoinkurs gefällt mir. Ich komme später nochmal darauf zurück.

Es war mir eine Ehre, lieber @steemchiller. Da fehlt eigentlich nicht mehr viel bis zur eigenen Chiller–Plattform, oder? Noch schnell einen Editor reingeklemmt und schon ist die Steemworld der beste Steem–Condenser, den es gibt. Kein Wunder dass die Whales dich nicht unterstützen wollen. Die haben Angst vor dir! Du gefährdest all die Projekte, in die sie bereits investiert haben. Dass du ss ganz alleine durchziehst, ohne ihre Moneten, ist halt ein extrem unbotmäßiger Affront für Leute, die es gewohnt sind alles und jeden mit Geld zu kontrollieren. Sie mögen keine Rebellen, die sich einfach, mir nichts–dir nichts, ihrem Einfluss entziehen. Du bist ein Software–Revoluzzer und da steh' ich drauf.
Obwohl ich ja eigentlich nicht in diese Richtung gehen wollte, muss ich zugeben, dass ich mich auf das Ziel einer eigenen Plattform zubewege. Vielleicht ist das meine Mission. Die SCT und SteemWorld vereint mit eigenem Editor und filterbaren Feeds wäre ja wirklich ein ganz schöner Bringer, denke ich. Ich bin auf jeden Fall selbst gespannt, wohin die Reise mich noch führen wird.
Dass ich nach mehreren Monaten Wallet-Bugs auf Steemit immer noch Reputation 25 angezeigt bekomme, gibt mir zu denken. Das Problem scheint nicht lösbar zu sein. Es scheint wirklich an der Entwicklung im Frontend-Bereich zu hapern. Vielleicht liegt es auch am Condenser, der einfach alles wegkondensiert. Die reinen Blockchain-Entwicklungen laufen ja wirklich gut und hier leistet Steemit wirklich sehr gute Arbeit.
Lange warten werde ich mit Sicherheit nicht mehr, bis ich voll loslege und mich an ein eigenes Frontend setzen werde.
PS: Du brauchst mir nicht noch einen 100%-igen zu geben. Das waren mehr als genug von dir ;)

When I joined here a couple months ago, I REALLY thought this place was a lot different then the outside world. However, it's not really the case. I think at basic levels there are a lot of great about this platform. However the power structure is just another doppelganger of the "corporate world".😔 However, for now I will digress. What you're doing for everybody are wonderful things. I want you to know I'm here to encourage you to continue and to fight the good fight. ultra einfach hab ich hier noch rumliegen,
hatte ich immer auf meinen Seiten genutzt,

Unglaubliche Fortschritte!
Das Bild würde ich weglassen, da der Kreis mit der Votingpower den ersten Blick auf der Seite hat und jede zusätzliche Verwirrung dort nur stört. Manche haben gar kein Bild und bei manchen ist Schrift vorhanden so dass es zusätzliche Verwirrung erzeugt oder mit der angezeigten Zahl verwischt.
@steemchiller, I use SteemWorld DAILY. Multiple times per day in fact. It is the most useful tool in my entire Steem collection. Bravo 👏 to you for creating a place to view so many useful Steem stats. Cheers!

This is my favorite dashboard to use. I wanted to report a bug. It's listing my all-time sp earned as 44 which is not correct. More like 22 since I've never powered down.
Thanks! The Total SP Sum is not being calculated by me and comes directly from the Steem nodes. It includes all SBD rewards (based on 1 USD). The value is correct but it's not so easy to calculate it, especially not afterwards ;)

Die "Waltabelle" https://steemwhales.com/ von @heimindanger ist ja leider nicht mehr aktuell, weil er die Datenversorgung abgeschaltet hat und das Tool nicht mehr pflegt. Ist es vorstellbar, dasd du irgendwann hierfür einen Ersatz schaffst? In der Disziplin "Blockchain lesen und auswerten" bist du ja ein Meister.

This platform is fantastic, I use it all day to check various things. I don't know what we would with out it? love the new additions as well, but really dont know what more could be done to improve it. Ein riesen Lob für steemworld, ist täglich die erste Seite, die gecheckt wird.
Ich schließe mich an, dass eine Anzeige für den aktuellen BTC-Kurs noch cool wäre.
Ich habe momentan aber auch das Problem, dass Steemworld nicht mehr auf meinem Handy lädt, bleibt bei "loading Account" hängen. Das müsste so seit gestern sein. Nutze Chrome auf dem Handy. Auf dem Rechner funktioniert alles einwandfrei. Hatte ich vor ein paar Tagen schonmal, aber ging wieder weg.

I guess you would have to make the first header taller to make it fit. I don't know anything about coding, so I'm simply offering my humble opinion. But the idea of having our picture there sounds great to me. Gives it a more personal feel. Thanks so much for all you've done already. And for all the awesomeness that is still to come. I like the idea with the picture of the user
I like the new dark theme option, and Well I just like the program, it is simple and easy to use and easy on the eyes. I am not sure about having an avatar picture, but some people really like them, so maybe a setting that a person can chose to have an avatar picture show or not. I personally like being able to see in a quick glance what percentage my vote power is down to, having that number obscured, or moved to another area, I am not so sure I would like, but then again I might. So a try it out button first, that can be reset back to normal if a person does not like it.
One wish I would have is that you add these update notices to the bottom tab you have with the disclaimer about cookies.
Quite often I do not watch the page load, as I am loading multiple pages and tabs when I first fire up. But for some reason I still always scroll to the bottom of fixed length pages just to see if something is new.
I still plug away at advertising your app, It is the most useful tool I have yet to find, and you are also the most approachable app programmer on here, (Granted I don't approach you guys often, just use your work), to be fair to the others I am sure they listen to their customers also.

Your account count on steemworld seems not working. Can you check that?
Minnowbooster has more accounts using minnowbooster than there are all accounts combined? nope.
I guess my count is correct because it comes directly from the steem nodes. Might be a bug on the minnowbooster page...

Ein Profilbild vermisse ich persönlich nicht, aber vielleicht könnte man das ja mit einer Option umsetzen wie die Nutzung von hellem/dunklen Theme? Bin da nicht so firm drin.
Und dazu auch noch eine Frage (auf die Gefahr hin, dass ich was übersehen habe): Kann man wieder vom dunklen zum hellen Theme zurückwechseln über einen ähnlichen Link? Ich dachte erst, dass der Zusatz &theme=dark einfach in der Adressleiste bleibt und man ihn nur löschen muss, aber das ist bei mir nicht der Fall. Gibt es eine Art &theme=light oder sowas? Oder muss ich Cookies o.ä. löschen?

Hey @steemchiller. I'm loving the curation rewards feature, but I wanted to report a bug. It seems to not be able to handle negative numbers. If a post you have upvoted is downvoted to 0, it just returns NaN which makes the total also NaN. I hope this helps. Sorry if it has already been discussed. Thanks for all your hard work on SteemWorld. It's the best tool on Steem (IMHO).

Man, that was fast! Seems to be working great. It really is an eye-opening feature and I think it will lead to greater curation efforts...which I believe will be great for the platform.
No only do you work hard to improve all it can do for us, but you even manage to make it more attractive!!
As for placing the avatar in the power circle - I do not need to see my face all the time...it is bad enough having to do so when I shave. I guess there are many who will feel otherwise.
