My Silver hand-cast, hand-poured GUNS

This article is dedicated to a new stacker friend @galenkp and a-not-so-new friend @underground, both of whom I share a few common interests with [that are alluded here]!

I know several gun owners to be preppers and silver stackers. It goes without saying that the converse may not be true. [Not all stackers posses guns, and not all stackers are preppers.]

I, myself, have several guns and I am prepped for the basics in case of short-term emergencies. Most definitely, I am a small time stacker.

Because I do like and posses real guns, it may not come as a surprise to you that I have a number of silver cast guns in my collection of hand poured silver.

All .999 fine silver guns I will show here were made by none other than a master gun caster and top-notch silversmith...
SilverToBurn.

Several in this community have his iconic pour, the Burnchester, in their silver gun collection.

The Desert Eagle

This is a sweet looking pistol, a Desert Eagle at 3.3 ozt. I know that the tiny inscription "Desert Eagle" on both sides of the pour is a challenge for all the letters to come out, but it did on this piece. SilverToBurn stamped it with SS [for Silver Saver] and his anchor logo.

Use the slider below the photos, and move it from left to right and back, to see the gun.

The 44 Magnum Revolver

44 Magnum pistols come in different lengths. Do you think this a 6" or 7.5"? The silver version here came with a brown suede holster. SilverToBurn must have known that my real life holsters are all brown in color because I've only seen him make them with black holsters. This tiny 2/3 of an ounce silver 44 Magnum pitstol bears his anchor logo, however, it is not stamped, rather it is cast and comes out as 3-dimentional high relief.

Use the slider below the photos, and move it from left to right and back, to see the gun.

The .357 Magnum/.38 Special Revolver, 6" Barrel

The real life gun is absolutely beautiful! I do not have one. I have a Ruger Security 6 which is just as pretty. Now the .55 ozt silver version that I do have here, also came with a suede holster, and like the other gun, carries the anchor logo of the maker, SilvertoBurn, in 3-dimentional high relief. The pictures are below.

Use the slider below the photos, and move it from left to right and back, to see the gun.

I hope you liked this post. I certainly enjoyed showing you a part of my silver gun collection. Which of the silver handguns do you like most?

BTW, the top most silver gun in the picture above is a Glock stamped with SS for Silver Saver.

In case you're interested, I labeled my guns in this photo.

Thank you for viewing this article. I hope you enjoyed viewing these special silver hand-pours from my stack. I will see you again soon!

Hahaha... I don't want to show what is inside my other gun cabinet, hehehe. It is the cold season and somehow the pouring community puts out less of their stuff (because it can be co cold in their garages where their workshops are usually located, they do pouring less). Which of the ones above do you like, @silverd510? Have a great afternoon🥰🌺🤙 and tons of hugs bestie.🤗🤗🤗

Practically everyone who has seen that one (in the gun range) says it is a classic, solid revolver. I like it... so simple to use!

Nice Find Sis! I'm usually the Blade and you're the gal with the John Woo Style of "Gun Fu!" and that's being written in the story arc of Sister Teresa D'Mordecai. Argenta is also more than she seems to be. Team or Rivals? 🌹 💖 🌷

Wow nice guns, how much do you even lift 😉 It’s amazing how much detail they get in these pours, how hard is it to make a mould and melt silver?

Oh yeah, my sorority sisters and I... we all go to the range and do "practical shooting", and make sure our guns are used at least four times a year. Yup, they are not heavy at all, if you regularly carry and one can get used to the weight very quickly. My handbags are heavier than any of my guns 😉, hahaha.
I have tried pouring silver. But they were all open pours on a mold. These silver guns are close-casted hand pours. It is very tedious to do and takes experience. Silver is melted at very high temperatures. Small projects can be done with silver melting and pouring kits and are not expensive and commonly available. I have seen the set up of the stacker who poured the above silver gun pieces for me. He and most serious metal pourers use industrial-type equipment. Most of them do their hobby craft (and most of them slow down on pouring during the cool months) from their garages.
Have a beautiful day, @c0ff33a, take care 🥰🌺🤙

🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫 Keep those guns nice and tight, I imagine temperature is key in Silver smelting - so it makes sense there is less done in the cold winter months when you have to fight against the ambient temperature. Good information to know thank you kindly for sharing 🤗

Definitely the Desert Eagle at 3.3 OZ I love those auto's !!😀
Good to see other stackers carrying!!!
I have five acres of woods, surrounded by mountains, and I can step out my patio door and my target range is less then 50 feet from my house!
Because of Cougars and non-Cougar... when hiking, or shopping... we have "Matching Ruger EC9s single stack's...😍
The Mrs. is a good shot with a 9mm...She misses all the time with a .22 Lol... figure that one out LOL!

I see you are a 9mm girl, check out Colt solid copper HP ammo...it's solid copper not jacketed, and will expand to almost 50 cal.
Have a wonderful day!!!😀

The Desert Eagle is my latest silver piece acquisition!
Hahaha... I know many in the stacking community who carry. And I am delighted that @elizabethbit is a good shot! She and I have that in common. It is funny, but many start with a .22 caliber handgun before moving to 9MM. You are right, like Mrs @silvertop, I am a better shot with a 9MM... so go figure!
Have a wonderful evening, my friend, and take care 🥰🌺🤙

That’s so interesting that you too are more accurate with a 9mm!🤔
I believe that she is expecting a kick, and flinches with the .22....
The .22 is a Ruger match pistol that is extremely accurate 🙃
Enjoy your evening @silversaver888!😊

Pretty cool.

How often do you go to the range, what is your favourite handgun to shoot and why?

My sorority sisters and I try to go to the range at least four times a year, but we have gone more times this year. It really is so much fun... if only we can find the time to do it more often.
My favorite is the S&W 638. I've had this piece for years! It is my first piece and learned how to shoot with it. It is a cute tiny revolver that is lightweight and is my carry piece. It is simple to use and fits nicely in my purse or any of my jacket pocket. I was delighted when I first got it because it was available in pink rubber grips [other than my Ruger and Taurus, all my other guns have black grips] because pink is my favorite color, lol! It is really a great lightweight pistol for everyday carry [and did I tell you that it fits perfectly in my car door pocket?]. In the range, I can easily draw my 638 and put it into action... snag-free. So far so good, I have not faced a situation where I have to draw my gun and use it for self-defense. My second favorite is the M&P.
How about you, @galenkp? How often do you go to the range, what is your favourite handgun to shoot and why?
Have a fantastic evening, my friend, and take care 🥰🌺🤙 !tip

Col that you shoot a little. All those guns and you only shoot 4 times a year? That would drive me mad. I put somewhere between 200-300 rounds through my handguns weekly, just to practice the draw, target acquisition and fire process...Keeps me sharp.

I go to the range weekly, shoot feral animals on a cattle far and hunt occasionally too. I shoot usually 1-2 times a week. I also shoot in a long range practical rifle competition so travel all over Australia doing that.

I like long range shooting (out to a mile) so I guess I'd say my long guns are my faves although I also shoot IPSC (you tube it) So I like my CZ Shadow 2 a lot also. (The one with the blue Lok Grips)

Here's a post I did recently.

https://steemit.com/whereonwednesday/@galenkp/where-on-wednesday-twenty-house-hill-ruins

Here's a few of mine...The last one is me on the farm waiting for the sun to set and the feral's to show their faces. (Kangaroos, deer, foxes etc.)

I did 50 laps too...In my entire life! 😂

Swimming is awesome...I didn't intend to negate the value of your shooting hobby though so hope you didn't take it that way.

Yes, I guess I'm a bit of a lad. I off-road, go camping, kayaking, hiking...Shoot...All the stuff associated with being a lad. I'm also a suit-wearing executive so...I think I reach a good balance.

Good trigger discipline...Well done. ✅

Legit tattoo on the forearm also.

Awesome Hardware, Mate!
Sadie sure does have some cool guy friends, even other than US lol
I don't like to show too much but I can say that I am a bit less in the
long range department... Sonny Boy was Top Shooter (USMC Boot Camp)
and we plan on a 6.5 Creedmore someday. I will likely buy that for him.
If he promises to reload for it 😎👍
Don't tell but I have this Christmas gift coming for him this week,
a RCBS Rockchucker setup suitable for precision loading. 💪

Hey there @underground thanks for stopping by...I understand that you don't want to show too much of course...I haven't shown all my guns...

Hey, I use the RCBS Rockchucker too...For precision loading. I get awesome results. My rounds have an SD (Standard deviation in muzzle velocity in feet per second) of under 10fps...Essential for LR accuracy. Your lad will not be disappointed.

The 6.5 is an awesome calibre and mine is a laser. Good shooting technique, which he obviously has, and the right handloads, scope and D.O.P.E. and they are deadly accurate.

Thanks for stopping by and saying hello.

I have one semi-long range setup, that I need to dial in. Good for maybe 1,000 yards, at least that was the plan. The scope is more than enough for that, 8-32 x 56. 24" .223 upper on a Delaware Machinery AR-15 lower, I have a Colt Gold Match LPK that needs swapped in and it has a MagPul PRSS stock on it with a monopod which is fully adjustable. That bit alone was like $150-ish for the monopod 😹 I'm sure you are painfully aware of the costs associated with long range shooting! At least I caught the 24" SS Bull Barrel upper at over half off. They botched the number of 'in stock' 20" barrels, it showed 7 when I paid for mine and showed 6 right after I checked out, but then I get an email... "We messed up yada-yada" so I negotiated the 24" with express shipping for an additional $40 off and ended up paying around $340 for the upper. Here's a pic of the lower with a 20rd mag and the PRSS installed... plus me looking 'grim' 🤣
Rob's AR big.jpg

I certainly believe you have more in store 💪

Great to hear about the rockchucker, I did survey many reloading posts and searched about precision and being upgrade-able, that one came up every time and usually on top. Almost got a Redding T7 but it's kinda between precision and volume. The heavy duty nature of the rockchucker won out!

Sounds like a good system you have there, and yes the RCBS gearvis pretty good. Ivan had no reason to doubt it's integrity and have used it faithfully for years. Good luck with it, and thanks for responding.

I think it will do it's job just fine! I have a few items (used) from a prior purchase, we also have 10mm, 38/357 dies and maybe one other already. Can't remember which ones but it's a good start. Oh yes, 45 ACP. I am considering a very heavy 45 ACP subsonic, starting at 300gr slugs

😎

Of course I will need a 'can' 👍

WOW, you never fail to impress!
I'd love to go shooting with you someday, and see that 'other gun safe' because like me, you are not showing your entire arsenal online!

OPSEC! 😎

Operational Security! That is where it is at. Gotta keep them guessing!
Thank you so much for the dedication, I wish I'd have been here sooner when it was a new post, I shoulda been Firstie Bestie 🤣

Rob's AR big.jpg

There's one of many, as in many AR's... plus the AK's, the rimfires, the carbines... AR9 in 'pistol' and carbine, plus a veritable truckload of NATO 9mm to feed them! Heck, I could do a whole series on handguns, plus someday I will inherit an S&W 686 (no dash!) 8-3/8" barrel stainless 357 Magnum revolver.

Love your pix, glad to see you showing your lovely face! Like to see your war face someday, if possible 😳😲🙀😱

Oh my 😳😲🙀😱!!!! Do you have an arsenal in your garage? I bet you have. Both you and @galenkp are tempting me to show what's inside my gun safe!!! Perhaps next week. I do not want to expose myself too much. I read some of your responses to comments here... perhaps you'll show us what you gifted Sonny Boy after he opens his surprise.
Have a fantastic evening, @underground, and take care 🥰🌺🤙

  1. yes
  2. yes
  3. no

Shotgun shells take dedicated equipment...
It's not really that expensive, just a whole
other set of gear. But likely more worth
it than reloading 9mm and AK ammo...

🤩

I am looking to get another AK soon, perhaps tomorrow?
Russian, with lots of mags and ammo... ;)
