I've seen these at the coin shop for a while now, but only recently picked them up. They are not silver, but they are silver plated, so I guess that's something.
These are Fiji Half Dollars, which is why it says Real Money on the front. They only made 3 in this series:
Captain America
Spiderman
Iron Man
There's a battery in them, and some LEDs, so when you press the back, portions of them light up. Spiderman's eyes, the star on Cap's shield, and Iron Man's palm.
These are definitely a novelty, and I don't expect them to increase in value, but they're a pretty great intersection of my interest in comics and coins, so I had to buy them. Plus, they're just kinda cool.
