My ArtVenture: Watercolor painting: “Sailing in fog” and @Art-venture contest Update

Hello dear Steemians,

Looking on weekend through the tutorials I read that even if using minimal amount of watercolour you can do a picture. In one of them it was a complex picture but made almost in transparent pastel tones so that you could think you can look through.

Another advice there was to do such painting with only few colours.

So here I am with such attempt, as you know from my last post we visited little haven couple of days ago it was day time and sunny, but I remember how it is when it is early morning, sometimes everything slightly covered with thin layer of fog and look mysterious. Therefore water, boat, sea shore, this is something that I wanted to use in my painting.

Hope you like it.

My step-by-step process:

The finished painting:

Watercolor painting “Sailing in fog” by @Stef1

Rough watercolour textured paper 30x40 cm, paper weight 300 gsm, watercolours colours in pans and tubes, flat and round brushes

Thank you @trinkowski I am glad you like this way of painting even being so simple it took me exactly the same amount of time, which I did not think so.

Yes, we hope to make people interested and keep platform active. You should restart your contest too, of course depending on your own time :)

It looks a bit desolate with a touch of mystery that I love, you used less watercolor and I can appreciate that the colors are less intense, it gives a good result to your painting, that tutorial helped you a lot, I hope to see more paintings using those tips that you learned. ;)

Soon there will be many more tickets to your contest, I am very sure, in my case I am working on mine and I hope to have it ready in a few days.

Thank you Carmen, as you know yourself when exploring ourselves a new medium we go through try and sometimes fail, maybe that is good especially in Art to go through your own mistakes and discoveries. So I will still try one or another methods to conquer watercolor medium :)

Agree it is always more entries on the second week, so we are excited about that :)

Thank you Max, I can imagine I have had the same feeling seeing those tutorials, they all look simple but it takes some time to get such result. So if you feel interested give it a go :)

Thank you @xpilar for your feedback after being so frustrated with my previous one I decided to be very careful, on other hand I remember seeing painting in Minimalism style that I liked and thought that will try that too. Maybe with other mediums it would be more interesting but currently I run our acrylic paper so need to order next week. It is always nice to hear from you, I wish you and your family nice weekend :)
