5 Problems That Steem Tribes Fix For Steemit
I really do feel that things have started to pick up around here and there is a lot more positivity from the community. There is still a lot of work to be down and we will not see a lot of growth until we start to get this coin value up but still we are on the right direction. And if you are not happy with steemit or the team then you can still earn steem and a secondary coin by using one of the new sites that has popped up. There are several reasons you might want to use one that address some old problems
1.) If you are not happy with the steemit team
Every one of these new sites are being lead by different people. And some of them are ones I respect from the years I've been here. If steemit leadership is a concern for you then go to a new site with a new team. One of the many new teams popping up has to get it right :p. And if you are still unhappy with the teams then make your own coin
2.) If you are unhappy you don't have a lot of steem
Now is your chance to earn a new coin. Distribution is quite favourable and you can do well on a lot of these sites if you put the effort in. No loner can you complain about not having enough stake as you can become a whale quite easily on these sites. Don't sit on it, even if that market is bad, if you believe in the project get your coins now.
3.) If you are unhappy that people don't get steem is not steemit
With all these new coins popping up and sites that use steem in their titles it will show the world that the steem blockchian is more than just steemit. If we can get just one "killer app" on this chain we can really see an increase in users as well as the value of the coin. I also like that there are sites like battlegames.io that don't even use steem in their title and approach things differently.
4.) If you are unhappy with who owns the big stakes
Don't like how distribution landed on steem? Well now it is a new distribution of a new coin on several sites. And the volume of how owns what and who has voting power will be different on all of them. The stake should be distributed better in a lot of these sites and you will have a stronger community that is built for it. Find one that you are happy with.
5.) If you are unhappy that steemit interface is unorganised
Don't like the hot and trending feed? Maybe you want to get only gaming content or only investing content? Well now you can. There is a site for a few different topics and you can find the content you want. We can still use one for funny stuff and food but they will come I'm sure.
So in conclusion it is really on you now. If you want to make steem the way you want it now is your time.

You are right about everything. I'm glad I've found you in steemleo, I always like to follow the first adopters in steem. I'm glad that such tribes was created. I'm really enjoying them all. Especially I like the part about the stake, if we are unhappy about that, we can just stake in one of those coins and convert ourselves from a minnow to an orca or maybe a whale. They are so cheap now and I think in the future, they will grow for sure. I feel like it's the revolution of steem now. The new steem is even greater ! ☺

I hope you are right. I'm sure they can't all make it but I would like to see some take off. Steemleo included.
There is definitely a lot of work to be done on several of these fronts. Getting a cleaner hot/trending/new page, bringing in new users and living up to expectations is tough, but doable. Having organized tribes is a great thing for Steem and some people still don’t fully understand that. It will take time to change the minds of those who are still on the fence, but we can do it ;)

Yes that's right. Don't like Steem, make you own token. I have a feeling most will fail and many people who couldn't make it on the existing platform won't make it anywhere. The demand to buy these tokens simply won't be there as most are pretty useless asides from their purpose of generating more tokens. Don't get me wrong, I have plenty of them but am not optimistic about most of these off-shoots.

Yeah you're right a lot will not go far and some are probably cash grabs. But I do think some will do well, steemleo being one of them.
It's funny as much as I know all of them can't do well I am still grabbing coins like crazy
I have not seen them all but I can also feel the trend you mention in that the variety is bringing interest back to the ecosystem. While it is focused on the second layer created by Steem Engine and SCOT, it ultimately need Steem to power it so a general positive over time.

Very good points about all of the wonderful options. Right now it looks like around half of the tribes and 10% of the tokens are serious.
Some of them already have whales self-voting though. As soon as I see a trending page of 2 or 3 accounts constantly and they have massive stakes, I get turned off.
This is actually an unspoken risk of a few tribez.

As much as I love reading those reasons, I strongly believe that it's important never to forget that Steem-engine is just "another layer" on top of Steemit and steem blockchain. Those last two are still heart of entire "body".
Are you also behind any of those tribes? Just curious.

We agree, organizing and building and growing the tribes and tokens only add to the appeal of the underlying Steem system. All this activity can only help with on-boarding and hopefully grow Steem and the underlying/parallel communities. We're always talking about growing the entire pie. The Tribes and SCOT tokens have given Steem a new zeal and excitement, in our opinion. We're excited!
